Neglected, unloved,

Betrayed, attacked,
Hiding without seekers,
(Tears still on his face)
Weeping through anxiety
Without a shoulder to cry on.
(Rain drenched his clothes)
But now he was gone,
Just a body swaying
(Swaying gently)
In the evening wind.
The rope had choked him.
(But he was already broken)
The victim dangling
From his beloved oak tree
(It gave him summertime shade)
He had jumped without confidence
And he was still

So still,
And questions remained.
(Why had he done it?)
The answer was dangling
At the end of a rope
