Description
For this assignment, we could pick one of the three houses found in Frank Herbert's Dune and re-imagine them in our own way. I picked House Harkonnen, and imagined the family to have Yakuza-like influences, living in a polluted neo-Tokyo type of city.Since he is the demon ruler of Arrakis, I decided to make him overly brutish and at the same time dumb looking. He pummels others with his fists (how primitive!) and in his spare time, takes care of his pet pug.

hehe. masks were largely inspired by samurai masks as well, to tie in with the whole yakuza theme. i was afraid i was stretching things too far though, but i definitely had fun.

Very detailed and very meticulous! I always pictured Glossu Rabban as a big, bad brute. If I ever do my own Dune fan art, I may do my Harkonnen characters with red hair, but nonetheless lethal-looking.

Wait what's the difference of him with and without the mask? I kid, I kid. Wow old development looks weird but not bad compared to the new one, but I kinda see why you changed.
