Description
The original G1 Starscream drawn as a birthday pressie for who noticed that the only pics of him in my gallery were silly cartoons with him prancing around in a dress. I'll get round to colouring him soon.

Well, it appears that he's in line to be the next Masterpiece figure as well as an appearance in the upcoming G1 redux line so there's plenty of opportunity

yeah... i might pass on the Neo G1.. might buy it if they have Skywarp or Thunder Cracker. and save up for Masterpeice Starscream or maybe wait until they make a Masterpeice Skywarp.
speaking of which why Starscream? i though they'd go with Megs.. as a tank.. or better yet Galvatron.

I'm guessing there's the risk of upsetting all the obssessive G1 fanboys who'd want a gun megs (even though he'd have to be massively oversized to match up with Prime) so they went with the next most iconic 'Con. Personally I'm hoping for a Skywarp too - he was my first 'Con and has a far better paintjob than his brothers.

Most of the G1 cast had better toys than animation models (I really hate what the artists did to poor Bumblebee)

something that poped in my head on the issue of MP Starscream.. wouldn't it be the best if he came with the Cape, Shoulder Armor, and crown from the movie? as well as many other do-hickeys.

The concept artwork seen so far shows the crown which has lead to speculation about the rest of his coronation attire.

I can all too easily see them wrecking him with his garish turquoise anime colours rather than the original dark blue of the toy

yeah.. i never liked the funky blue. i meant to say Skywarp, but i keep thinking of Thundercracker when it comes to Skywarp's color scheme.

Skywarp should be less of a problem - apart from having purple shoulders the animation colours were pretty much spot on.

you can't mess with his kick ass color scheme. but what were the animators thinking when they decided to make Cracker baby/ turq blue versus the dark blue the toy had?

Perhaps they wanted to reserve the decent blue for Optimus - even Starscream had the baby blue instead of the darker option

hhmm good point. i guess way back when they had to paint the cells, they wnated to save money by using every color in their supply of art. i wonder who would have been colored "turd brown" if that was the only color they had left?
