Nothing special about this picture, I just really got into it.Love the shading job I've done here, but I should have pushed the shadows even further (got lazy)
I've really had my "Fooly" character slowly changing a lot over the year.

well one thing i hope will never change is his tousled hair and his half straightjacket/half lab coat- like clothes- otherwise how would we recognize him? ^^

The only thing that looks a bit odd could be the girls' right hand/arm. Looks a tad short. Other than that, every thing looks good!

nice work, interesting to see your characture smoke bubbles. Though I would sujest clearer emphasises on your .... whatver it is you want us to focus on (through shading or whatever)

Well the problem is, there is no focos nor point to this pic, as metioned in the description. I was drawing and really got into this piece. I will have to remember that however, as it gives a clear idea that way, what I want to be seen.

I dunno how to to this, the shadings so awesome, the backrounds so peaceful the butterfly is a very nice touch in the atmosphere giving off the vibe of just kicking back and relaxing overall very nice. ^_^ One quick question just to be sure, is that a fishing rod next to the girl?

I'm just plain old addicted to them. However I don't like to add details, for the sake of details. I feel life isn't composed of just a few simple shapes, so I like to add these extra actual features to make a setting seem more natural or real.

I thought the girl's arm looked a little odd lower down but otherwise I see nothing wrong.
My character too has changed slowly over the year, the most noticle change was his hair and the fact he can hide his non-human parts.
May I ask what made you put nails in his shoulders? Trying to make him a little more disturbing or something?
I like his new face, it's still a simple design yet now it has a bit of realsim to it and looks like it's capable of more expressions.
Love the pipe, and that lizard thing too.

The pipe and lizard have little and real significance other than I think each are cool, and I enjoy drawing them.
I'm glad you like the face as well, as I felt he needed a little more character to be able to express emotions thourgholy for the character, but was worried by this sometimes, as now I feel he looks kinda more scary, than he should be.
The nails is not some creeping sign of me going goth or anything. You have to understand Fooly is indeed not human, but a puppet. So its not like these are totourous, or anything, I just wanted to give more the idea of his makeshift creation. Like a toy etc.
Think that's a good design aspect?

That does make sense actually. Maybe try stitches or something? Remember that rag doll woman in the Nightmare before Christmas? She'll be a good source of ideas for your demonic puppet.
I don't think the new face makes him that scary, makes him slightly more approachable in my opinion.
The best way to find out if something works is to experiment, doodle a few sketches into a sketch book, or do what I do and doodle in a writing pad during breaks at college.

Oh, trust me I've been sketching for a while now ( I don't like to post incomplete works much) and I have approached the stich handie work apperance. However that makes him seem like he's an incomplete being then, so I'm currently just thinking of using a form of evident stiching the is more purposeful in its placing.

what? no. Gawd no, no. Fooly was only chosen out of fun, but the story has changed a lot and so has the character. While he has a light hearted nature, I just don't know necessarily if this will fit into all story's aspects, I have to anaylze everything I'm putting into this project still to make my decision.

aah, alright, maybe the comic could just be called fooly...but then...it'd sound like fooly cooly and you wouldnt hear the end of it.
But realize, another summoned type thing is beetle juice, and his name is freakin beetle juice, and he still rocks XD anywho. Your call, i hope to see more of the story soon though

Fooly (or whatever its final title will be) is still a comic I'm going to do one day or another. However he has a lot more going on then I prefer to let on. Come next year, I will have fresh news and full coverage on everything I've been doing behind the scenes with this character.
I'm really sorry I can't show you guys what I wish I could, but I'll try to keep with drawings like these so you all have at least some idea of what is going on.

Fooly looks alot different, not my favorites of Fooly but I love the atmosphere of this. And the feeling that fooly has more in him than his appearance makes you believe.

Well, from the appearance of Fooly from before, it sort of indictated that he was lively, uncontrollable and unpredictable, like a live fuse. I like the contrast to that in this picture though, which is why I Faved it.

Indeed, I've changed his attitude to flat out foolishness, to light hearted (though this could be interpertated as, unusal to an extent he puts it as well)

I admit, I love the character development concept. ^^ I'm trying to do that with one of the characters in my Mythik story. And about a Name, I could probably help there, I'm pretty good with making up names, even if they don't exist in any language, lol.

I think my favorite part is Fooly smoking the bubbles.... Or blowing them.... Or whatever... He looks a lot different than the picture I usually see of him, but, eh.. Change is good I guess.

Yah, Fooly's change is coming, I'm just going around that way. I'm thinking of renaming him as well (though I do not yet know what)
