The angle at which the light strikes the building creates bright and dark areas that make the structure look solid and sturdy. In my opinion, that effect also enhances the beauty of the structure. The only thing about the photograph I am not enthusiastic about is the tree. If the tree was blocking the view of part of the building, it would make the structure seem a little mysterious, especially with the black-and-white coloration. If it was farther to the side, it would be an extra element adding to the beauty of the scene. As it is, it takes up too much of the photo and distracts from the structure that is the focus. Distracts only a little though, It is still a nice shot.

The contrast in this photo is great because of the differently shaded stones on the building. The trees and bushes give a nice texture
to the overall "feel" of your photo.
In my opinion, the left part of the picture is covered a bit too much with the tree and thus the focus drifts to the right side of the image only.
This could have been changed by including less of the tree in the picture. However, I think the greytones of the tree's leaves are interesting too.
Overall I would say that this is great artistic work with a beautiful contrast
