This is interesting in that despite the natural setting, there is so much darkness and contrast as to almost reduce this to an abstract figure study. I am almost reminded of the mythical Inanna journeying through the Underworld with the dense shadows and the cave-like area before the figure framed by the dense roots. I like also that her face is hidden and the gaze directed well-away from the viewer. There is an air of palpable suspense and mystery here that gets the viewer's attention and grips it firmly. This is like the start or middle of an old, dark fairy tale. How is it to end?

A very well beautiful story told in a excellent photo. The shapes shown here have a great harmony, the tones are well selected and the playlight is quite a masterpiece. The pose is also brilliant. In fact it is an outstanding photo.
