Description Yep. When pigs fly. Basically, this is the mob I made for the wing modeling tutorial I posted earlier today. The idea was that someone over at the MC Forums made an ingenious post about a way for pigs to remain useful after the introduction of horses, at least as mounts. So I decided to come up with my own take on the same idea. GG, horses
I made two different styles of wing for this fella. The first one on the left (the one from the tutorial) is more aesthetically pleasing to me, but the second one on the right would probably be easier to code. Which one would you guys prefer?

**********
Flying Pig
Alignment: Peaceful (Tameable)/Utility
Health: 8 (4x , wild); 20 (10x , tamed/created)
Damage: N/A
Spawn: Extreme Hills (Light level 7 or higher, spawn in groups of 3-5, Enderman-level rarity)
Drops: 2-3 Raw Porkchop, 3-4 Feather, 0-1 Angel Feather (rare)
Experience: 2-3
Update 1.6 will introduce horses. This, of course, is bad news for pigs, which will cease to be useful as mounts and will thus become dinner more often. Pretty soon, we'll once more regain faith in our derpy pink steeds when pigs fly - but what if we take that expression literally?
Flying Pigs are what happens when pigs get a little too acquainted with brewing and enchantment. The first specimen was thought to have sprouted its wings after ordering a combo meal of a Potion of Swiftness and a butter (golden) apple. Upon escaping the laboratory pen it was contained in, the Flying Pig bred naturally with wild pigs, and are found naturally in extreme hills biomes, but are quite rare and must be tamed with golden apples. If you don't want to have to traverse countless biomes to find them, you can make one yourself by replicating the original creation process, tossing a Splash Potion of Swiftness at your beloved porker and then feeding it a golden apple before the effects wear off. Like curing a zombie villager, the effects will take hold within a day, and soon enough, pigs will fly at last!
Aside from the wings, Flying Pigs work much like normal pigs, but are capable of being fed more than just carrots. They're quite omnivorous and you can give them mushrooms, apples, potatoes, and even bonemeal and rotten flesh. (You can only breed them with Golden Apples, though.) Like normal pigs, you can also put a saddle on a Flying Pig and ride it! You have to have a golden apple on hand to steer, though. Hitting the space bar will cause the pig to flap its wings and fly upwards, and once airborne it will glide gently downwards and take no fall damage. You can hold shift to cause it to fold its wings and descend rapidly, but don't hit the ground too hard, as you could hurt the pig by mistake. (The "When Pigs Fly" achievement can be pulled off with this mob as well; just make sure to have it drop down at exactly the right time so the pig takes damage but doesn't die outright.)

The only problem I see with this getting added is that people will ditch horses for this beautiful creature faster than they left it originally XD

Well, I explicitly said golden apples in other parts of the description. I may be part of the Sky Army, but unlike the stereotypical recruits, I'm not adverse to using the G-word in technical descriptions of ideas, game mechanics, and the like.

Please don't kill me...
