Me: I’ll tell ya where i’ve been, my imaginary viewer; i have been doing literally anything else.

That’s right, it’s back.
Unfortunately.
I figured i’d say something eventually, before election day in November, but i wasn’t sure what would actually drive me to do it.
Welp, listening to Trump lie for 30 minutes and watching him make faces akin to a two year old shitting his diaper pretty much finished me off, triggering my 2016-2020 flashbacks until i was convulsing with the need to talk about the entire scope of the race at its current place in time.
I think any poor soul who’s read my rants knows by now that i’m not a political genius, not terribly knowledgeable, and prone to getting things wrong as any average person is.
I’m just loud and opinionated and chaotic and sometimes it feels good to scream all these thoughts into the void.
I say what i think and have been accused of “parroting” what i hear, but i think that’s all most of us do, isn’t it?
What disappoints me the most isn’t that this will likely have little traction, but that on a site called DeviantArt, it will gain an unnerving amount of attention – and most of that will probably be by Trumpers who only post memes, and no art to speak of (hey my post has my art in it, don’t cry hypocrite!).
But eh, on the internet you take the bad with the good.

Like i said to my imaginary viewer, doing literally anything else.
Stuffing bees up my ass and jamming a honeycomb up my nose, then seeing if the bees can fly up my intestinal tract to find the honey sounds more enriching and safe than exposing myself to too much political dystopian global chaos.
I’ve been playing Halo, watching Halo, drawing Halo, pinning Halo on Pinterest, all in all becoming the Halotard i used to despise in others.
I am proud of this disease; at last, i am a creature of TASTE
I have also been playing Minecraft, writing Halo head canons, walking my dog when the weather doesn’t feel like Satan spread his cheeks and blasted putrid moist gunky froth into our dreadfully hot midwestern atmosphere, tending to my garden (and promptly watching everything die off one at a time as i struggle to understand the needs of my poor plants), working on commissions, trying to better my headspace, and sucking myself off almost daily in pride of myself for having quit Twitter months ago.

Except to look at porn.
There’s some good porn on there, but it’ll never be Tumblr…
I’m not saying all of this because i actually think anybody cares, i just know i’ll eventually get to read this out loud and i enjoy the sound of my own voice in generous doses, followed by hours and hours of tight-lipped silence.

The main reason i don’t talk about this shit anymore is because a., it’s exhausting and b., it’s…kinda pointless, usually.
Not “pointless” as in “it doesn’t matter what i think and feel and no one will hear my message,” but “pointless” as in “no amount of presenting facts will change the minds of the idiots who believe Trump is God.”
And while usually i just go straight for the route of making fun of the right while providing some information, this time i’m…still gonna do that, BUT, i really wanna also bring the hammer down on presenting something educational, and even being more fair with my critiques.
This means Democrats aren’t exempt, although i like to think they never have been (i just never portrayed that well).
There are several overly long-winded topics i wanna go on about in extraneous detail, while fully aware that the more i provide, the less likely you’ll be to read it.
I’m not mad, i’m just disappointed, and i blame Twitter and TikTok for your atrocious attention spans.

There’s gonna be a lot of sections, lots of me careening from one topic into another but ultimately doing my best to keep it organized, and to make it visually not a nightmare.
And are Trumpers going to get the most backlash?
Absolutely, but i’m not leaving out Dems, either.

If you couldn’t tell from my millions of other scatterbrained rants, my having a fursona and organizing my posts like Mr. Krabs does his money.

ANYWAY, to cut to the chase, the fact is it’s stupid to have split parties like this.
I don’t know how else to do it that would work well because i’m uneducated and haven’t studied other countries, all i know is if i say “look, this isn’t working” someone will throw stones at me and call me a Communist…and then run off to vote for someone who has openly stated he wants to be a dictator.
Because ya know.
Freedom and all.
It’s just silly, things are so divided at the moment and even before Trumpism, it’s always been a little ludicrous.
I am more than happy with a democratic system which is all about fairness and deliberation, where everyone can comfortably identify with a cause, can have opinions on leaders and policies, and vote for who and what they want.
But it seems like for far too long now, there’s been a “them vs us” mentality from everyone.
And trust me, at least half of the country doesn’t like that.
And no, i’m not saying “DeMoCrAtS aRe ThE oNlY oNeS wHo WaNt PeAcE” because that’s a fat load of horsedump and i have seen and been beside waaay too many radical leftists.
That’s right, ya heard me; the progressive is aware that some people are extremists.
Happy?
It’s a fact.
However, from my perspective, it sometimes feels like it is still a little more on the blue than the red side.
That’s average people, FYI, not really anyone in power because those fuckers don’t care.
Ordinarily i say “it’s just a loud minority,” but poll numbers don’t lie.
Almost half this country…still prefers Trump!
That’s alarming.
Not because he’s been running as a Rep, but because the people who love him don’t love him for the right reasons.

There are loads of traditionally-Republican people who recognize that Trump is, well…an agent of hell.
There was a time where each side was actually far more similar with a more limited number of issues dividing the parties, and even then it wasn’t typically family-ruining.
Annoying at times and mildly argument-engaging, but otherwise there seemed to be a lot of respect.
Republicans aren’t anti-Christ demons and Democrats aren’t whiny child-eaters (because apparently that was a conspiracy for a while??); at the end of the day, we’re just people.
As someone who's a registered Democrat, if a better Republican were to come along who was fair and had an actual good chance of saving the country without banning our rights to bodily autonomy and an autonomous identity, i would put down a vote for them.
I would swallow my pride and do what i thought was best for the country in the long run, and the sad fact is people today — namely young voters, don’t think about the bigger picture.
And to some extent, i can understand that.
Having your basic rights threatened induces panic.
I don’t pedal “vote blue no matter who” because i think only Democrats can run the country, and in fact i don’t think they should be the only ones in charge.
I say that phrase because right now, there aren’t any strong Republicans in the race, and most in power are severely corrupt.
There’s basically no one in the race right now except Trump and Harris.
One is a conspiracy theorist and the son of a confirmed Klansman and the other is mildly-unhinged woman whom i don’t know much about, but trust she won’t ban my rights to have an identity, marry my trans/queer partner or access to proper medical care in the event someone successfully rapes me.
And yes, i concede that the fact that i don’t know very much about Kamala is an issue, and i intend to study her and her background very soon.
I never loved her before this moment, but i don’t love any politician.
I’m grateful the race is no longer a strictly geriatric clown circus, like what a relief!
But there’s still work to be done, and still plenty of people who doubt her.
Including leftists.
Which…kinda baffles me, like idk what else you want besides a biracial female with an education and an actual somewhat understanding of the middle class, you beanie-wearing hipster idiot, but go off.

The reason people hate Trump isn't because he’s “Republican” (he’s not in the way you think, by the way, and that’s literally something you can look up but you’re lazy so i’ll do it for you).
We hate him because he’s a fearmonger who peddles hatred and was the spark that started the biggest divide of our country since the Civil Fucking War.
He tickled the gooches of white supremacists, anti-LGBT+ and otherwise closeted bigots and close-minded asswipes, providing them with a space that made them feel safe enough to emerge from the woodworks like bed bugs out of a burning house.
And it’s frightening how large a percentage of the country feels that way.
There are those in power who support him for their own selfish gains.
Those in more poverty-stricken situations and blue-collar workers tend to believe in him because they’re gullible in the way of conspiracy theories.
Those of famous status who endorse him tend to not be “all there” (case in point, Ye, formerly known as Kanye) and want attention.
And yes, when those members of our families revealed to us that they hate how we identify and think it’s evil to love someone who is also a consenting adult, that it’s evil to psychologically identify with something that doesn’t align with your genitals and chromosomes, who hate black, brown and Asian people, who are KKK supporters and apologists and who believe medicine is satanic, and that girls as young as ten years old should be forced to carry their grandfather’s rape child to full term…
WE TEND TO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THAT.
Support for Trump is an open calling card to support for human rights violations, and the amount we have managed to backslide in progression in the last 8 years is terrifying.
Imagine having less rights than you were born with in the country that prides itself on freedom.
Oh wait, i don’t have to imagine, because i’m living it!

By putting it into simple context (like i’ve done 0485939503 times on this fucking account), it should be a little sobering.
“Losing freedoms in the country of freedom is ironic and criminal,” the average person might think.
But Trumpers aren’t “average” in the way that myself and sensible people are “average.”
The typical Trump-humper is hyper-conservative, convinced their own rights are somehow under siege, and only feel safe in a room full of unarmed people wearing rainbows and being black or brown, so long as they have an AR on their back, a magnum strapped to their ankle, two ghats in hip holsters and a grenade up their unwashed hairy ass for good measure (no homo, of course).

Okay i’m taking the piss, but what typically unites Trumpers is conspiracy theory.
Why do those appeal to certain people so much?
Conspiracies are fascinating and fun to ruminate on from time to time.
Exploring them is enjoyable for the tantalizing idea that “Hey, something outside the norm could be taking place right under our noses!”
And it’s kinda spooky, really gets the brain juices flowing, and whenever we puzzle out possibilities that could, in theory, align with what we see unfolding around us, can make us feel smart or special.
We like that feeling.
I hate to admit this, but when i first heard of flat earth, for like four minutes, i had a teeny panic attack and texted Ash saying i was scared it was true.
And he was like “...Do you smoke crack?”
Actually he was super sweet about it and asked if i really believed that, which made me sit for a moment and consider that logic and science exists, and that i got this “information” off a stupid YouTube video with no credible sources
And just like that, i rejoined reality.
This is a pathetic and embarrassing tale, i know, but if i’m going to be fair i gotta be honest about it.
No, i’m not going to talk about why earth is not flat and why flat-earthers are stupid.
If you believe in flat earth, it’s already too late for you.

Paranoia is the foundation of the Trumpublican party.
People are paranoid that new ideas like clean energy and universal healthcare are going to destroy the country or somehow cost lives, as they’ve been told it will.
They’ve also been told that queer people having rights is a sexual threat to themselves and everyone’s kids, which is, again, a lie.
To be totally honest, i don’t love the idea of total universal healthcare by the way, because the waiting lists in other countries are a problem, but there ought to be a solution for that.
There’s no reason my partner’s gallstone surgery should be costing him $40,000+ and will be wrecking him for a long time to come.
That’s fucking absurd.
However, waiting a hundred years to get seen by a doctor or surgeon only to die well before you receive your free treatment is unacceptable.
If i don’t have my facts straight on that feel free to point me in the right direction, but it’s all i know.

But aside from that, there’s also paranoia about the economy and, for some, religious freedom.
The latter of which baffles me because God is literally in our pledge of allegiance lmao, it’s perfectly legal to openly practice your religion wherever and whenever you want, so what’s the fucking issue?
There’s seldom backlash for people praying in public, having their Bibles and shit in public.
God forbid someone breaks out a Torah or Quran, though.
Then you feel threatened.
Dumbass.
People being gay and making TV shows about gay characters isn’t compromising your religious freedoms just because you feel offended to see something your congregation has told you is bad.
But i’m not here to go on a full religious tangent.

But even though many of us don’t agree with Christianity and other major religions, most of us don’t want you to stop being religious or to give up your faith.
It’s not about faith, it’s about how you treat and perceive others.
I mentioned this before, but Trumpers have whined about progressive people kicking them out of their gatherings and disowning them from their families and will say it’s because “they’re Christian.”
No, it was because you openly supported the execution, conversion, torture and erasure of LGBT+ people, support colonization and native cultural erasure, are extremely racist and sexist, and have humiliated your bloodline by draping yourself in flags and cringe-ass buff Rambo-Trump shirts, you goon.
NO ONE, Dem or Rep, needs to be wearing political paraphernalia, it’s fucking weird.

I mentioned earlier that youths tend to struggle to see the bigger picture, but when i think about it it’s really an everybody problem, and it always has been.
Even as a child, back when the world was pristine to my innocent and privileged eyes and i didn’t give a fraction of a grasshopper shit about politics, i heard and saw that every president of the United States EVER, got shit on relentlessly by their opposing party for the mistakes they made.
Why?
To put simply, politicians have to point out the worst in one another to sway voters to choose them instead.
Every political venture is fair game, all the way up to the Presidency, and that makes sense.
The frustrating part is this word i can’t stop using, but the gullibility of the voters.
The reality of politics is that world leaders are not robots.
They’re people, and even the ones who do well and care about the world they try to help lead will have to make sacrifices and take pitfalls to do their job the way they think it should be done.
They’re also not the only ones in power, as the House and Senate have rights and powers and block things, too.
And yeah, many of those mistakes deserve to be criticized, like inflation and jobs and all that usual run-of-the-mill technical stuff.
But some sacrifices are worth it, and would be more worth it if we put people in power who bring us closer to the things we want and need.
I have some bad news for you.
It’s been said by me a million times, so let’s make it a million and one:

You do not get to choose the better of two goods, but the lesser of two evils.

That is politics, and the way the world is right now, everyone should be doing their best to think tactically and clearly.
If Trump becomes President again, there are things maybe he might be able to fix that Biden has gotten wrong, but he will ruin many other things.
Also there’s Project 2025, which is some of the scariest shit i have ever heard of.
It’s frightening that Reps peddle the false narrative that our current Democratic party is “Communist,” but want to take away human rights, freedoms, and make religious mandates and imprison women for so much as having a miscarriage.
That is pure evil.

And if Harris becomes President, there are many things she will protect and defend in our Constitution, but there will be other great letdowns that will keep us plunged into a disappointing state that we’ve genuinely been in for some time.
One has to be willing to choose which evil is lesser, and in my eyes, human rights are simply non-negotiable.
The idea some Reps have that we’re on the verge of a “great depression” is fucking ridiculous, shut the fuck up.

I love America, i’m blessed to be born and raised here and i’m grateful for what i’ve had, but the facts are that this country deserves better and it’s not the most respected place on Earth.
Did you know the USA makes up 4% of the global population, but holds about 25% of global wealth?
25% is a small number, if you’re talking about sharing a donut with somebody, but when a margin of human beings that small holds that much money compared to the rest of the world, that’s terrifying.
But it’s not terrifying because we’re rich, it’s terrifying because we’re rich and live like a third-world country.
The United States has more available homes than it does homeless people.
Our country is filthy with garbage and contaminated water, there’s chemical dumping crises, we utterly pour money into anti-homeless architecture, we blow money on fighting drugs rather than taking notes from other countries to more intelligently combat drug usage and rehabilitating people.
You’re never going to kill the drug supply by force, but by offering a space where people feel safe to quit the drugs, you can kill the demand.
That kills the supply.
But that’s not what our government wants; illegal drugs means more prisoners, which means more slave labor.
We have trillions of dollars and are often raising the debt ceiling because, SOMEHOW, WE END UP IN DEBT.
Now like i said before, i’m not the brightest bulb in the tanning bed when it comes to politics, but a simpleton like my Fierce-self can even see that…
That’s fucking stupid.
How is that possible?!

I’ve heard people complain that they think the military has too much money put into it and that we’re a little too military-focused.
Well gee man, ya think your rights and freedoms appeared by osmosis?
You think other countries just let you have those?
You think half of your own country let you have those when slavery was on the chopping block?
No!
A great military is, in our case, not a bad idea, in my opinion.
The only thing that bothers me is the way military lifestyle is presented by preying on younger, poorer groups and lying to them about the care they will receive within and outside of the military, and how it utilizes cult mentality to keep soldiers and vets painfully loyal.
And again, i’m ignorant.
There are probably far more peaceful and generally successful countries that don’t rely on heavy weaponry to maintain peace, and if that’s true, it should be studied, but the reality is we have huge foes and this country’s actions affect the world, fam.
So no, i don’t agree with anyone on either side who dislikes the strength of our military presence (unless it’s being used on peaceful protestors).
Should some things be done differently, both here and on foreign soil?
God, absolutely.

I don’t think we need to defund the police, and though i was caught up in the hype of it at the time, i no longer say “ACAB.”
The justice system is fucked sideways and i genuinely believe in the notion that much of it is legalized slavery, and there is evidence to back that up.
We rely on prison labor to the point that certain prisons threaten to close because they don’t have enough prisoners.
Having too many prisoners in a building is considered successful.
That’s fucking weird!
But regardless, how we regulate police officers, how we train them and how we punish the ones who are unethical needs to be deeply uprooted.
You don’t have to just believe in one massive take wholeheartedly, it’s okay to go down the middle.
Ironically, i actually don’t like voting down the middle in our current climate because with Trump as a threat, a vote down the middle is just a vote for him.
If you don’t like Trump and fear what he will bring, and you have the power to vote against him and you squander that, then you are complicit.
Not enough people believe in voting down the middle to actually make an impact with that – literally nobody cares.
And Trumpers don’t want you to vote at all, and want you to stay defeated.
Don’t fall for that.

How can you LISTEN to that and not be baffled???

Now what’s great about this list is it shows his good-doings, but also gives credit for time frames leading up to his own actions.
That can be seen as criticizing, but i actually think it’s important to point out that not all things presidents do are totally new or happened out of thin air.
Presidents inherit good and bad from their predecessors, and it’s good to recognize those things.
Also, just because Trump inherited a lot of good from past presidents doesn’t mean it’s less good that he kept some good things going.
That is what fairness is about.

A few days ago, my mom introduced me to someone who i think everyone needs to listen to.
A divisive, unifying, honest, truth-spitting individual who never hesitated to say what he thought and felt, and whose input would be invaluable today – just as it was then.
I am talking about the late George Carlin.
Carlin was a comedian, philosopher, and a self-proclaimed left-leaning anarchist who criticized everyone and everything, regardless of the parties.
He was relentless, brave, fair, and cared about everyone and everything, yet nothing and no one.
He was educated, a man of science and reasoning with a progressive mindset on human issues, but also conservative in terms of labels and not shy to verbally bitchslap liberals for introducing too many labels and too much “political correctness,” and even provided education as to why too much is harmful, all wrapped up with a comedic bow.

This man is genuinely entertaining and fascinating to listen to.
No matter which side you’re on, Carlin will make you absolutely squirm in your seat with the uncomfortable truths he provides, as well as the honesty of his personal opinions.
I’m going to link a bunch of videos of him speaking on as many issues as i can currently find (might update later), and i want you guys to listen to him.
As much as possible around your schedules, and no matter what side you’re on or who you’re voting for or what religion you are or are not in faith of, you should hear what he has to say.

Ugh.
I feel like i’ve been working on this post for a million fucking years.
It’s actually only been like four days or something but i usually don’t take this long.
It’s been a struggle because my ancient computer chair and poor posture caused me to lock up my neck and shoulder and upper back one day (so badly that i was just crying for like two hours) before miraculously getting a little better, but still took like two weeks to heal.
Then i sat in the chair with good posture and a pillow under my ass and had three days of pelvic floor pain with the second-worst PFD pain attack i have had to date.
And i am not exaggerating when i tell you, there is nowhere else to sit in the fucking house because my dad doesn’t believe in filling a home up with furniture unless it’s broken down or stone-hard and too short to keep good posture.
I typed most of this while lying on the floor.
I’m sure THAT’s been great for my posture!
The alternatives are my recliner, or the living room couch that makes my mom stand up with vertigo and me hobble away in need of a fuckin’ back brace.
There’s also the like 100-year-old half-ton kitchen chair my grandmother owned forever ago that’s hard as rocks, which numbs my ass in 3.5 seconds and crunches my pelvis into my esophagus.
And um…yeah that’s pretty much all my options.
