Description
Ecco the Dolphin came out for the Sega Genesis when I was seven years old, and although I owned my first Genesis when I was eight, I only played the game at a friend's house...perhaps twice in my life. But it remains a very memorable game (I never personally played the sequels). Main reason: even at that age, I loved animals, and it was a game wherein your character not only is an animal, but I felt like I was really playing as one. For instance, Ecco has to find ways to survive without consistent air to breathe, he uses sonar to communicate and feel out his surroundings, he eats fish for health, and he must contend with predators.Beyond that, the other thing I remember about Ecco's game was the music: extremely New Age and perfectly suited for the familiar yet at times otherworldly and at other times freaking alien environment that is the ocean.
Speaking of otherworldly, the other other thing I remembered as a kid was, uh, that beginning part. And from watching playthroughs on Youtube...there's some REALLY weird, scary stuff in this game. Maybe it's just as well I never got farther than the first several levels or my weird fear of sea monsters I have as an adult would have been worse...hm, in fact, maaaybe that has at least one root in these games. Eh well.
So...I realized that I had never seen an anthro Ecco. It is only natural that I would have him singing. I considered having him cleanly nude, as he lives in the wild, after all, but I chickened out.
I'm not going to have this shaded, though. It falls...well short of what I had imagined. It's by no means a bad picture; I particularly like what he did with Ecco's hands and feet and the fact that, as a cetacean, Ecco wouldn't have nipples (not on his chest, anyway). But I can pick out too many flaws, namely that the constellation on Ecco's forehead is supposed to be made of stars, not dots. Still, it's an idea to backshelf until I can put a lot of money towards it. Ecco deserves the tribute, after all.

Even if he would be nude, his regions would be hidden from the public inside his bod, like any common male bottlenose dolphin`s else, really impressive rendition!

Wow, finally, a comment after all this time
Anyway, yeah, that is how it would work if his anatomy matched his species. But the thing with furry stuff is that *that* part works in a number of different ways. Either way, thanks for the thoughts.

No problem, even though I was kind of surprised that it had no comments. man, Ecco games had really been in obscure corners from ... I don`t know, 2009-onward? o_o
I see and anytime. Gotta love debating on something relevant to this deviation, . Personally I think that in this shape, Ecco would be one really popular singer, as long as he stays off Japan O_o
