If there was going to be any new cross over fighting games I would love to see DOA vs TEKKEN. It makes the most sense out of any other crossover. I know that Tekken is going to fight the SF crew but that's just meh and DOA is going to include VF characters but their designs are so boring and thus not that interesting in a game. Both DOA and TEKKEN have an amazing unique cast that I think would mesh well in a combined fighting game. It would have to merge the two fighting game styles into one. I would like it to retain DOA's counters and interactive arenas and keep the complexity of Tekken's four button layout. Oh and of course keep tag battles alive
If you guys think this would be a cool game share it with Tecmo and Namco on their facebook page, twitter and anywhere else this might get some attention. This would battle would have to be shown as the trailer, Ryu vs Jin FTW!!!

I'm always making fake 2D fighting scenes but this time I thought I would make a fake 3D scene. I used XNALara to pose the characters in 3D space and then used Fireworks to edit the pic above. I'm getting more used to this program. It feels like I'm posing action figures, it's actually kinda neat. I just wish I knew how to properly render the characters with other programs such as blender. If anyone knows send me a message so I can learn.

I agree with you 100% it would be a much better crossover than Street Fighter x Tekken or any other crossover that comes to mind. I like the angle work on the pic
DOA game mechanics are so good in comparison, so that would be a dream combination. Maybe one day..

i feel the same i got love for SF (most just because of Chun li tbh i love her she is my char) Β but Tekken is where its at for me and doa as well i play both TTT2 and DOA5u and i would love to see a crossover between those franchises both rosters are fresh and very unique, i feel got similar tastes XD good shit here though i like itΒ

Ninja Gaiden Ryu would obviously win against standard Jin but the Ryu from Dead or Alive would get demolished by standard Jin.Β

Definitely, I've not been playing Dead or Alive for long but does he even use his sword in the games? I guess they needed to make you want to use other characters beside Ryu.

Oh hell yeah!! Two of the most beloved franchises duke it out in an all out battle royale!! It'll actually be interesting to see the two clash since both are futuristic and both have a colourful cast of characters!! And Hayabusa!! Squash emo Jin to pieces!! You've taken on monsters and fiends the size of an oil rig!! So this pansy should be enough for you to handle. At least Hayabusa didn't go into an emo phase unlike Jin.
One thing I disagree with though is your opinion of the Virtua Fighters. They may be simple character designs but they have uniqueness in gameplay to distinguish them from fighters which include shotos and clones. Plus Akira makes a badass main character in the VF games because I love Bajiquan and I admire the fact that he means business. The VF's may have a lack of personality in the game but in the show, they actually have vibrant and colourful personalities.
Seriously, give the VF anime a try. Maybe you'll change your mind.
But otherwise, this idea is awesome!! I like it!!

It would make sense, seeing as Tekken is now taking a page out of DOA's breakable stage interactivity(which is just bad-ass). And I would prefer Tekken's button layout, seeing as DOA's can be too mashy(button mashers always using the punch button etc.) XP
This is still bad-ass! And LOL, that stage(if you notice the first part of that stage, you would see a Chinese girl that looks like Lei Fang in a white Chinese dress XD)

It'd be awesome to see this, though the chances are nearly zilch. I enjoy both series but was more of a DoA fan growing up for fluid gameplay. Tekken offers more overall depth but never reaches the speed and pacing of a DoA title. I'd have to go with Hayabusa in this match. I've played all the Ninja Gaiden and one man, devil gene or not, stands little chance IMO.

You might be right that DOA vs Tekken barely has a chance at happening but we can dream right. Anyway if we push the idea to Tecmo and Namco who knows, like I said before the two companies have collaborated before with titles like Dynasy Warrior Gundam and Dynasty warriors One Piece. I am also more of a DOA fan than Tekken ever since DOA2 on the Dreamcast. It has always felt much more fluid than any other fighting game franchise and it even makes more sense since you can actually counter. Don't get me wrong I also like the Tekken series but it has always felt more stiff. Oh, and Hayabusa would win for damn sure, he is just a better over all skilled fighter when compared to Jin. Jin does have the devil gene and thus power but not the skill to wield it perfectly.

Well Ryu Hayabusa Has Faced Monster The Size Of Texas and Other Baddies Like that Then We Got Jin who has The Devil Power. Normally I Would Say Ryu But Considering Jin It might be a Draw. Unless Ryu Hayabusa Uses his Sword Then jin Probably wouldn't stand A Chance for very long.

Two fo my fav fighting games! (well there are many fighting games I love XD). I agree this crossover would be epic but I think it wouldn't work since their gameplays are too different to match.

so what if their gameplay is different, sfxt made it work i don't see how two 3d fighting games wouldnt work. I see it as a 6 button layout with the four face buttons assigned to punches and kicks like tekken and the shoulder buttons assigned to grab and counter.

you say complexity i say pain in the ass.after playing doa Tekken is just way to stiff.if they ever did decide to do a crossover i would only play with the DOA fighting style.they put VF in 1)because VF is basically the grandfather of DOA,its a respect thing.and 2)neither are very popular so they hope to smash the two fanbases together.i see a crossover very unlikley as Tekken fans cant stand DOA and constantly rag on it for its perverseness and counter system.

I definitely agree that Tekken is way more stiff than DOA since DOA is so silky smooth and flows better in combat. I would prefer DOA gameplay over tekken any day but it would be a mashup thus have to include their fighting styles so that they don't alienate either fan base. It's also true that DOA gets a bad wrap because Itagaki declared the game superior to tekken in everyway and added sex appeal. which is all whatever to me. I myself am a DOA fan and like it a lot more than tekken but the mash up would be sweet.

Now that's a crossover that would make sense. I would play it for sure. I don't know how XNALara works, but the result looks very nice.
I only disagree about VF characters being boring. Only the main characters Akira and Pai are uninteresting. They should've put Kage instead, he is a ninja so it would make more sense in the DOA universe. At least, according to rumors, they remembered VF's femme fatale Sarah.

VF characters being boring is just my opinion. To me they seem very generic. Anyway, having DOA vs TEKKEN would be freaken sick. I hope Tecmo and Namco one day decide to make this happen. They have already collaborated in the past with some of their other series like the dynasty warrior gundam series. So the talk should still be there. One day it will happen.
