Description Well since I got all carried away with writing the finally to this round I will paste the story line below my little ranting here. I broke it into 'Show Down' and 'Aftermath' so that when it comes to judging only the Showdown part needs to be read if they want, which is significantly a shorter part to the rest of it. But for those who are curious about Eden and Chris feel welcome to finish off the Story .

And I was cutting it close, but I would have finished in time for the originally cut off! I'm so proud of myself! lol Hopefully everyone enjoys my entry for Round 2! see you all in Round 3!

Showdown!

Cold snow shriveled into the heat of Snorlax’s Flamethrower as if a black hole had formed distorting the very fabric of reality. Regaining composure Chris could feel the heat on his face as Snorlax let loose the ball of flame, spraying into Feraligatr. Chris knew how sore Snorlax could get when his meal was taken from him, but even this astonished and impressed Chris, even scared him a little. Feraligatr lunged head first into the flamethrower unleashing a furious Ice Punch punching right though the core of the Flame. Sparks and flame shattered like broken glass all around.
Chris held his breath as Feraligatr splashed into the snow. The wind was blowing fiercely and the disturbed snow created a veil of clouds, the only thing that shone through was the glowing eyes of Snorlax’s competitor. Snorlax growled under its breath as it watched Feraligatr stand up tall, revealing a toothy grin.
Frowning deeply Snorlax’s quick claw glinted brightly, letting loose a hollow growl. He had sized up his opponent now looking back at his trainer he nodded slightly, letting Chris know he was ready to listen to him. Chris smiled and nodded. Looking to Eden to see if he was ready to commence; he only raised an eyebrow.
“Any day, shrimp.” Eden crossed his arms.

Chris frowned, pointing to Feraligatr. “Snorlax, Body Slam!” Snorlax launched his self from the mounds of snow, picking up speed fairly well for such a behemoth it took no time to encroach Feraligatr.
“Get into the air and use SuperPower Kingpin.” Eden squinted as he watched how quickly Snorlax was able to move. Feraligatr instantly responding, whipping its tail against the ground it hurled its body into the air well above Snorlax. As Snorlax’s Body Slam missed his belly slid across the glacial snow. Rolling onto his back as quickly as possible he attempted to keep his eye on the aerial enemy.
Feraligatr began twisting around into frenzy, more and more momentum was picked up until the air around Feraligatr began to turn into a twisted contortion of snow until finally it became a full blown tornado. Giant chunks of snow began to careen out of the twister directly at Snorlax.
“Snorlax, quickly, get up!” Chris created a fist and swung through the air. Adrenaline had quickly warmed him up. He could feel his heart beat in his temples. It had been a long time since an opponent, no matter how arrogant, could hold his own. This was just the challenge Chris had been longing for since completing the Johto league. He could only imagine all the things Eden could accomplish with such a ferocious Feraligatr. Mentally he would have to take notes to apply some of the techniques to his own Feraligatr.

After Math

Snorlax did his best to get out of the way of the hurling snow balls. Flipping over, the ground shook slightly as he landed. Smacking one of the smaller chunks of snow he began to clear out of the way. As he did a larger block of snow blindsided him, sending him into a barrel roll. The snow continued to pile on top of him until his was nothing more then a hill of snow. The twister finally subsided in a dazzling explosion of ice.

Feraligatr landed, bracing itself with one hand as it held its head with its other hand. The movement had made him more than slightly dizzy. “Well done Kingpin…” Eden commended Feraligatr. “I suggest you finish him off with a Crunch; just to be safe.” Feraligatr let out an enthused Snarl. Quickly he approached the mound.
“Snorlax!” Chris grunted, he couldn’t even return Snorlax if he wasn’t visible. He didn’t even know Snorlax could hear him at this point. “Snorlax, I want you to Crunch Feraligatr!” Erupting from the snow Snorlax let out a terror of a roar, just in the nick of time he got into a hand lock with Feraligatr, both trying to take a large chunk of one another. Both pokemon shuttered as one fought to overpower another. Snorlax winced as it fought to overpower Feraligatr. The previous attack had left Snorlax slightly weaker then it would have liked. “Snorlax, Flamethrower!” Chris let out a shout distantly. Eden cursed under his breath.
“Oh please, Kingpin, Hydro Cannon.” Feraligatr looked over its shoulder at his trainer, quickly leaping back water gurgled forth but before the attack could initiate flames had been let loose from Snorlax. Flame engulfed Feraligatr; all it could do was brace itself.
Chris knew Flamethrower would do nothing more then distract Feraligatr for the moment; it was a futile attack against such a powerful water pokemon. “Snorlax, you know what’s next!” Chris smirked.

Eden frowned. What was he doing, his way of battling was far from conventional. Fire against water was ridiculous, and not even announcing his moves was more then irritating. “Kingpin if you don’t stop toying around you’re going to get hurt; Hydro Cannon.”
Feraligatr swiped away the fire. Just as Chris had assumed it had hardly left a scratch. But that was more then enough time for Snorlax. As Feraligatr regained visibility Snorlax was already right in front of him. Plowing into Feraligatr like a freight train, they shot through the air until a grouping of trees broke their momentum. Branches cracked and snapped as they two large figures disappeared into the shrubbery.
Loud roars from both Pokemon could be heard, and large trees swayed as they fought within the trees, Flame let loose into the sky, as did pillars of water until finally Feraligatr flipped out into the opening again. Hissing frantically its eyes had become paper thin slits; evidentially bemused.
Snorlax finally revealed itself from the trees. Just as frantic.
“Laaaax!” He pointed up the hill a ways. Chris’ eye’s narrowed to what the Pokemon we agitated about. A Large avalanche was staggering down the mountain only mere miles from where they stood. Chris looked over to Eden.
“I think we’re too close.” Chris began to feel the fright of helplessness.
“Fool, way to state the obvious;” Eden folded his arms. “I hate to admit it… But none of my pokemon is suited for this weather, either we try to outrun it, come up with an idea, or face death.” Eden looked back at Snorlax and Feraligatr, who were very effectively attempting to usher their trainers in the opposite direction. Chris’ mind raced as they attempted plow through the deep snow. Not only was the weather bad, there were no clear paths except for into the avalanche.
“This is futile.” Eden grunted as Feraligatr helped him over a snow dune.
“I have an idea!” Chris blurted out. “Steelix, I choose you!” As large glowing form protruded from the Greatball Chris wasted no time in giving him an order. “Steelix, we need your help, bad, clear a path while we ride on you to get us to safety! Quickly.” Chris returned Snorlax as he climbed up on top of the Steel Pokemon.
“Seriously…” Eden looked up as Chris let out a hand to help him up. Before letting Chris respond he sighed, looked back at Feraligatr and in so doing Feraligatr heaved Eden atop the cold metal behemoth. Chris didn’t respond to Eden’s desire for independence. What ever floats his boat Chris decided…

“Steeeelll~” With almost a sleigh like effect because of his smooth steel body they floated down the hill blasted through the thick snow. Wind bit and chiseled at Chris’ face, but it beat being swallowed up. They didn’t slow until they were climbing up another hill. Chris only momentarily looked over his shoulder at Eden; he seemed to feel the cold just as much but hadn’t made a peep. At least he had a toque on, Chris noted. Finally they halted. Both trainers peered back to the valley. It was hard to make out through all the fog, but enough of a disturbance had been made because of the avalanche to know they had made the right choice in clearing out.
“Man that would have been too close for comfort.” Chris sighed slouching down with relief. Eden scratched the top of his head a moment and looked over to Chris. Looking back to Feraligatr he whispered under his breath momentarily. Feraligatr looked at Eden with a confused look. Grumbling slightly it handed the beacon, which it had held the entire trip upon Steelix’s back, over to Eden. Tossing it over to Chris he almost dropped it. Totally catching him off guard all he could do was look up at Eden in bewilderment.
Eden began to walk away, placing his hands in his pockets. Feraligatr kept pace.
“Don’t you want to finish the battle?” Chris asked in confusion.
“At this point it would be a waste of energy for both of us. There are too many beacons out there to waste my time with you any longer. And I hate owing people favors. Just remember if anyone asks I kicked the crap out of you; I have a reputation to keep after all. See you back at the Dome and in Round 3, I won’t go so easy on you next time.” Eden disappeared into the fog.
Wind blowing Chris could do nothing but stand there a moment. “Well… that was more then interesting. What a guy.” Chris raised an eyebrow. “Steeel.” Steelix concurred.
“Well I suppose we better get back to the Dome before the sun finishes setting. This storm is getting worse. Mind letting me ride you back?” Steelix shook its head. “You don’t come with seat warmers do you? Being compiled of nothing but steel I’m going to be frozen to you by the time we get back…” Steelix only grunted. “I was just kidding… always so serious.” Chris chuckled under his breath.

lmao well I'm glad you enjoyed it. Not my best writing, grammar errors gallore >.<'- but I had fun doing it. and I have been working on a Novel Series since 2004 so this is a nice change of pace. I had a lot of fun with Eden so I'm glad you were okay with how I wrote his persona ^^'- honestly I could only think of ways that Feraligatr would win so I had to do something in order to 'win' the beacon at the end of it all. I was just lucky Eden had a hidden soft spot lol.
