That sums up what we see here. Well, the Mythic Slave Bikini worn by Leia: It's iconic. I really don't know what Lucas or McQuarrie, whoever was on the costume team, had in mind, but they did a great job. Not only does it help that Carrie Fisher was a beautiful woman at that time, but, despite the fact that the purpose is to show her as a submissive slave of the Hutt, Fisher's design and bearing show us that she is still that Stubborn Princess and Leader of the Resistance who is just waiting for the moment to break free, which she does, finishing off Jabba with the very chains that chained her to that monstrosity of a being turned into a Galactic Gangster.
Somewhat sadly, this outfit is one of several things that Disney keeps in a drawer for idiotic reasons or because of "do-goodism" and only takes out when they have no other option, except for "Song of the South", because that work is practically everything that could cause Disney problems during a good part of the 20th Century, but now we have the sequel to those problems in this Century: Now MORE HYPOCRITICAL than ever, so much so that its Centennial was stained and Bob Chapek is one of the worst CEOs of an important company in Pop Culture in history. Also in that trunk is a definitive Bombshell like Jessica Rabbit, who also shows some idiocy on the part of many creatives, especially those who are more ideologically biased: You can make an attractive character, but at the same time make it interesting, just by putting some thought into their approach. Although that is asking a lot of that kind of people, it seems that they do not understand the "nuances" thing, and they do not even want to understand it. Anyway.

Ya con eso se resume que vemos aquí. Bien, El Mítico Bikini de Esclava usado por Leia: Es icónico. La verdad no se que idea tuvo Lucas o McQuarrie, quien sea dentro del equipo de vestuario, pero se lucieron. No solo ayuda a que Carrie Fisher era una belleza de mujer en esa época, si no que, a pesar de que el proposito es mostrarla como una sumisa esclava del Hutt, el diseño y porte de Fisher nos muestran que aun sigue siendo esa Terca Princesa y Lider de la Resistencia que solo espera el momento de liberarse, cosa que hace, acabando con Jabba con las propias cadenas que la encadenaban a ese esperpento de ser hecho Gangster Galáctico.
De manera algo triste, este atuendo es una de varias cosas que por causas idiotas o de "Buenismo", Disney mantiene en un cajon y solo sacan cuando ya no tienen de otra, excepto "La Canción del Sur", porque en si esa obra es practicamente todo lo que a Disney le pudo causar problemas durante muy buena parte del Siglo XX, pero ahora tenemos la secuela de esos problemas en este Siglo: Ahora MAS HIPOCRITAS que nunca, tanto que su Centenario quedó manchado y Bob Chapek como uno de los peores CEO de una compañia importante en la Cultura Pop en la historia. Tambien en ese baúl se encuentra una Bombshell definitiva como lo es Jessica Rabbit, que incluso, tambien muestra algo de idiotez de parte de mucho creativo, sobretodo los que estan mas sesgados ideologicamente: Se puede hacer un personaje atractivo, pero a la vez interesante, siendo solo cuestion de meterle coco en su planteamiento. Aunque eso es pedir mucho a ese tipo de personas, como que lo de las "Matices" no lo entienden, y hasta no lo quieren entender. En fin.
