They eat cupcakes! They make stew! Sometimes things vary a little bit but in the end a stork birdie flies by and gives them news on their latest bid at the nearby auction house. A lightning bolt strikes the bird, he declares 'THUS SAITH MINE ICE CREAM NEVER AGAIN' and changes professions! He brings them a baby after that." and THEN somehow it manages to become a lot like that.
