Description If the sketch (yes, it's a crappy sketch, but that's not the point) doesn't speak to you, you don't have to read everything below. If it does, keep reading. If you choose not to regardless, that's okay. This is only here to help you. If I offend anyone in anyway, I'm sorry. I didn't intend to. This thought and little speech and sketch came to me right as I was about to go to bed, so I woke back up and stayed up until 4 AM hoping I can help at least one person with this deviation. So let's begin, shall we? Also, if you're a guy and this speaks to you, feel free to keep reading although I'm not sure how much this can help you.

As a teenage girl, at one point, you probably fell head over heels for a guy and he just so happened to be your friend as well. Even if it was for a short period of time, you still probably had that experience. If you didn't, that's okay. You probably had it a little easier! If you think I'm wrong, go ahead and say it because chances are, you're probably right! This message is mainly directed toward those who fell for a friend and was/is too afraid to say something (I kind of said that in the first bullet, but from this bullet on, it's everything I wrote earlier).

One day, you're sitting in class daydreaming and suddenly you start thinking about you and your friend as more than just friends. After a few moments of pondering, you snap out of it and scold yourself for thinking like that. That would never happen, right? We're just friends! Later on, you're home and you revisit the thought. At that point, that's where it all begins and "hell breaks loose". Over a period of time, you start to think more and more about him. You continue to treat him as usual, but somewhere in you, your relationship is changing before your eyes. You're "falling in love" with him. One night, you're sitting home and maybe even talking to him on your phone or on the internet. Your thoughts are everywhere. Eventually, it's so overwhelming that you just have a breakdown. You want to tell him so bad. But you're afraid. Terrified. Of what?

Rejection.

There. I said it. Rejection. Many are afraid of rejection. Even I am. I've been rejected multiple times (enough to count, but it's still a decent amount) because I fall for someone and immediately think it's okay to tell them how I feel. Nope. Bad idea. Last rejection I faced, I was a wreck for quite a while. I even posted a journal vaguely discussing my problems, but I ended up deleting it (and that's not the point anyways). Now I'm stuck again and fell for yet another friend. What's my advice to you? Do what you think is right and don't stress over it. It's cliche. Yes, but it's also actually great advice. If you use your logic with your heart, you're bound to do well. But again, don't stress over it. If you're stressing over it too much, it's probably not a good idea to say anything. If you think it's right to not confess because rejection is too daunting, don't do it. Just continue being friends and hide your feelings to the best of your abilities no matter how hard it may be. Maybe one day, he'll be in the same boat as you! Chances are that that'll probably happen. Patience is key. Trust me. It really is. I had one friend that liked me, but chose to do nothing. A few months later, I started falling him. So let's say right now (or even later after liking for him for a while) you strongly think that you won't be rejected. Then just wait for the perfect opportunity and make it special. Make sure to not go overboard though. It could be pretty awkward. Once again, trust me. I know from experience.

I hope I helped at least one person. If you have any questions for me or anything, feel free to contact me. If you want a response asap, the best place to contact me is my Facebook or my email. If you send me a note on dA, it may take a little more time for me to respond. I love all of you to death and I really hope I helped someone. Not too sound arrogant or anything, but I've been told that I give pretty good advice or I really helped someone, so if you even need help or guidance, don't be afraid to contact me. I will try my best to help you and cheer you up. And of course, I promise I won't judge you. We all have our flaws. That's just how us humans are. If you're a guy and read all of this, also feel free to contact me with any questions or anything. I'm sure I can at least cheer you up as well.

vThat signature probably throws everything off, but it has my contact info so.....yeah. Also, I have no idea how to categorize this.

Additional advice: Some more advice from that may help if you want some different advice..."I'm not sure if I have any right to say this, but I want to add my opinion. I've also been through this as well. The thought of extending outside of the friendship boundary crossed my mind too. But I also had the fear of that one person loving someone else or being rejected. What you said about holding in your feelings is something I can't agree with. I'm not as experienced with rejection as much. Rejection always lingers as a fear in love. It will always be an obstacle. But holding in all your feelings just because you are afraid of being rejected? I'm sorry,I know this goes against your advice and it might offend you. But keeping all your feelings to yourself for god knows how long, is something I know I couldn't do. What if the person finds someone else before you even confess or moves on? There are risks in love. There is no "safe path" to a successful love life. And just for the sake of them returning your feelings? I don't know. You are right though, you must find the right time to tell them. But at your pace, not at the pace where they might fall for you. You can't just hold onto the hope that they might love you. Rejection is hard,I know. But I personally think that even when rejected, I would be able to move on. After rejection is always the healing process. Moving on is also a fear that everyone has. But repressing your feelings in hope for a love life later on is even more painful. Taking a risk and even if rejected, will make you a stronger, more willing person. This is just my opinion of course."

And I don't mean to judge, but I have a feeling that I know who you are referring to when you said you fell for a friend. I'd like to help you with the situation further if you are willing to let me.

You most certainly have every right to express your opinion too and I'm not offended at all. Everyone is different and has different opinions that shoud be respected. In my case, I guess this is how I just cope with things. If you don't mind, when I hop onto my laptop later, I'm going to add your opinion in the description as well because you have some really good points that others can value and find helpful. I'll message you because I wouldn't mind listening to you. ^^
