*UPDATE*So after listening to a pretty inspirational podcast, I needed to put a little more effort into my brain-baby D:
Here's my headshot idea - still incomplete because I'm retarded like that - but that moon will be metallic with a bunch of fancy designs. Still on the to-do-list, I got to draw some baby scales along the spine on the horse's neck, a set of gills, and to finish off the finer deets of that smaller tiny fin.
I will be doing a full body pic of Seafarer (using this head) but I've got a couple other things on my to-do-list before I can pump out an entire corpse >.> TO SLOWLY BE CONTINUED!

Alright, so most of you might not know but a couple months ago my laptop crashed and needed a factory reset in order to live again. As a result I lost all my progress on my Seafarer pony here:
My muse was pretty devastated since I had spent like a good 40 hours working on my brain baby. BUT I AM REVIVED!!!
Because of a contest hosted by Ruanly I got myself a much needed WIN and some super awesome people to do a couple artsy things of my baby
I've been super stoked to see what ya'll come up with, but in the meantime, I'mma gonna give my boy another go! Wish me luck

Mixed media? Why? Eventually its just gonna be a digital painting, but I'm demonstrating the steps on how I got there. I'm just using the original photo as a reference - extreme tracing, if you will. I'm not actually using the photo and manipulating it to make the image I'm making now If you meant something else, lemme know!

S'all gewd. In the mean time I was thinking of continuing updating this deviation and consequently spamming your inboxes. When the image is finally finished, I was thinking of posting one final WIP pic that included all my mini-updates together in a more organized image. I'm gonna do a poll to see if my watchers mind my spam, but I like showing my progress and having people comment as I go - kinda like a forum version of a super long Join.Me. session

Yeah, it's coming along nicely isn't it? It's cool too because I stretched out the stock image and opened in a higher quality document in Photoshop. Since I'm painting on layers over the original image the end result will be a higher quality water-horsey
