Not for any mod in particular. This was made for the Mushroom Biome as an additional exclusive mob. I mean, come on! A mob that wasn't diverged off another existing mob (Mooshrooms) would be nice.
Though, I still kinda like Mooshrooms...
These guys would just randomly pick up mushrooms around the biome and place them somewhere else...or something to that extent. They more likely would just hold them mindlessly.
Oh, and the three names above are ones I couldn't decide on and just went with all three as possible names.

In what kind of mod? Is your mod on Minecraft CurseForge website? If no, i suggest upload it here, because here are the most of Minecraft mods, there better to find and download them. What is your mod's name? Since did you add this mushman in your mod? It could be great. I mean for Minecraft 1.11.2, or for 1.12.2.

Mushmen villages, full of mushmen that have mushroom houses.
Every now and then mushmen travel with mooshrooms to give mushrooms to villagers and the like.

sorta like endermen, except picks up mushrooms & isn't deadly
