only slight color enhancement to the flame although it may have been roped and quartered to get the mirrored effect.
Honestly though ......... no flames were injured in the making of this image!!

Hmmm, I've been playing with that script too but I've not found such excellent results! Please tell me... what are your input numbers?

I've been using Apopysis 2.03c and my inputs in almost all cases are
Smoothness 0.0075
Intensity 50-90
Rotation 0
Options Panel:
all the Variations selected
Number of transforms
Min 2
Max 3
Number of Mutation transforms
Min 2
Max 3
one other thing to note is the Display Quality can have drastic results in what you see, if I see something promising I will render the screen display ay 100 just to get a feel.
lastly I am rendering .png files at
3000x2000
Quality=4000
Filter Rad=0.6
Oversample=1
