Poisoned Tea — Description
Rachel sighed, looking sadly up at Diane.
"Why won't you marry me? I mean, besides the obvious." the brunette scowled at the headlines of the cast-away newspaper that now layed at her sleeping dog's nose, proclaiming Gays official sinners! Call to execution by reelected victor Bush!
Diane looked down into her lap, tears forming. "Rachie... my parents always ask me if I've found a boy I like, and alwas ask me when I'm going to get married. If I marry you, their name will be soiled."
The blond looked away as the ethereal model rose, angrily. "So, that's it then. You care more about your family than me. I see how it is." she trembled with anger, but made herelf sit again and pour tea for both of them. Her hand paused over her own cup momentarily before drawing away.
"Well then... I suppose... we're over?" Diane looked up, her cyan eyes glimmering with starry tears. The sight would have once moved Rachel, but she now looked into her cup of coppery liquid; Irish Breakfast tea, her favourite.
"I can't live without you." Rachel murmured, before downing her tea in one gulp.
"Was that a threat?" Diane looked worried. "Rachie, please odn't hurt yourself... I still love you."
"Too late..." Rachel smiled some. "I wish you loved me more."
The amazonian woman swayed in her seat, her eyes half-closing as she fell to the floor, tea spilling out like satin over the icy marble, her gloved hand half curled around the engagement ring she never gave to Diane.
