Emo is a fashion trend and a subgenre of rock music. Clinical depression is a problem.

No one calls me emo, to be honest. They call me other things though. Crazy, negative, nervous, self-absorbed, boring, clingy, a crybaby, insane, over-sensitive, distant, etc. Those are all based on symptoms of my depression, not my actual personality. It hurts being judged and disliked based on a bunch of symptoms of depression.
It's sad that so many people get dismissed as 'emo' or just moody when they are really suffering from depression, bipolar disorder, or another mental illness. It's also sad when the reverse happens and people think those who really have mental disorders are 'doing it' just for the attention.

Agreed. I'm labeled "emo" just cuz I have a severe case of depression and I've given myself injuries.

While i don't think i have "clinical depression", whatever that is, i do get depressed
