Everything? It's part of history. I've fed up to Holocaust since everyone talks about it, so I decided to find out what good nazis did do. I don't deny Holocaust or think it was right, plus I'm NOT nazi or neo-nazi.

Well because of Hitler there are good autobahn's in Germany, yes they were build because of Hitler, he kept his election promises and because of Hitler and the nazis, we have Volkswagen, nazis estabilished protected ares and much more, they weren't so evil. ANd Stalin, Mao and the Roman emperors killed more than Hitler.

Discussing your last point I have to say that it's not possible to justify one crime with another...just because other dictators killed more people because they had more time to do so doesn't make the Holocaust any better. And well...I'm sure that we all would remember Hitler in a much more positive way if he hadn't provoked the WWII and killed so many people just because of their beliefs. But he has. And he always has planned so. If you read "Mein Kampf", I mean, the whole thing, you will see.
At the end I have to say that I do not want to offend you with my words, please, I don't want to argue, but I just want to make clear that I'm the one living in Germany and being part of a people still suffering from bad reminscences the Nazis have caused in their reign of repression. There's still so much hate in the world. Noone learned of their mistakes. Of course, we have autobahns. But at what price?

I've read that book, and still I don't think he was the monster people call him. I think Stalin was the monster, killed his wife and what his politic did to my home country.. no no.
I didn't mean to argue either, I'm just fed up when people, even my parenst and best friends, are making fun of me with nazi jokes, just because I happen to know much about them. I don't deny the things nazis did, I know wwhat they did and I don't think I can understand the pain they caused to all kind of people. STill, what Stalin and the red army did, were horrible in my eyes.

Well, I think it's worth learning German to really comprehend the power of their propaganda. People are not born to be bad, that's clear. They are what society makes them. This is sad but also, everyone has the possibily to make his own decisions.
I do not want to make fun of you, I think, you've already realized that I'm discussing and answering very seriously to you. But as I already said, you cannot justify one crime with another. Bad things happen everyday but crimes commited in the past may not be forgotten and nevermind how much we know about people's purpose to do so, it doesn't make it better. You can never undo. That's my point.

Maybe, but making own decisions can lead to death, just like that happened to count von Stauffenberg and Erwin Rommel, who I appreciate more than everyone else. Why? Because Stauffenberg tried to kill Hitler and sacrified his own life, and Rommel because he treated prisoners like humans.

That's what I tried to point out...noone can know what mischief his decisions may bring but one should always have in mind what's best for all conscious beings in the world. And yes, I also appreciate men and women with courage and idealism but I don't know if it's right to be ready to sacrifice the lives of many men and cause more killing and destruction, perhaps unwillingly but consciously. For men in powerful positions it's hard to chose what's good and best for themselves their followers but a good ambition may not always mean a good way to achieve the goal.
