Since I was never ashamed of liking Superman it makes sense that we see more these merry fellows. Some are horrifying, bloodthirsty hardcore murder machines , some are erratic, hazardous and deranged asshats some are redeemable misled folks with a different albeit violent mindset.Point is if someone tells you Clark has it easy, you're allowed to shiv said person savagely.
This is born also out of my disappointment towards my previous colored attempts, a celebration of my favorite Supes stories and baddies and the occasion to create the best t-shirt DC will never make.
I used this as a main inspiration www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vn-Ago… and it's the atmosphere that's most fitting for him ; colorful yet dynamic and violent !

Well I was thinking adding her but after re-reading that arc... I just found Lord Satanus much more compelling. Blaze was sorta irritating...

And she's not even fun ! Hell, I praise one note characters as long as they deliver the goods, but Blaze is just a semi-passable mid-level boss in a video game... the kind you blank out after completing 2 levels later....

I kinda hesitated at first but then I made it all about my favorite Superman stories , printed or on-screen. Though I will talk in the next article about the comic Toyman...he's a different kind of creepy altogether...

Oh but you'll see that the 86-99 Toyman is even creepier than that guy. In the comic run I cover, people don't seem to think much of him... with the exception of Clark who knows that Toyman is as ingenious as he is deranged !

Well I am unfortunately tied down and this is a drawing I wanted to make quite fast. But one I'll discuss these mofos properly ! After all, you know that I care little for popularity, it's the spectacle and fun these villains bring that attract me.

And the vampire woman behind Henshaw. -> Cythonna an old Kryptonian deity who makes Killer Frost pass for a Z-rank amateur. She turned Metropolis in a Tundra by her mere presence !

It needed to be done. At first I aimed only for the 86-99 Superman foes since it's the best Clark ever, but then again I thought that a compilation of my favorite arcs as well would be the right way to go so Joe Kelly's Zod and Manchester HAD to be added. The former I liked more for the Harvest storyline, the latter is a great antagonist on his own !

Doomsday's the one I'd say is the most painful to deal with for Superman, because he always has to try to find new ways to keep him down until the monster regenerates to destroy more worlds.

And what's makes it scary is that the threats Superman fought off before Doomsday were already hardcases and could injure or kill him ! Doomsday, in the 86-99 Superman books took it to a whole new level !

Some of Superman's villains get really unfair. Poor guy could use a vacation.
You know, enjoying the Bahamas with Lois, drinking piñas coladas, enjoy the sun.
Perhaps even playing ping-pong with his friends from the Justice League.
That'd be an actual cool episode for a cartoon, to see our heroes have fun as normal people.
