6.30.18 He's been done for, like, two days, but I needed to finish other stuff for him weeps he's been looked over 50,000 times by Miu, Jess, etc. and at last, it's all good to go. His personality was actually the first thing finalized LMAO everything else was the difficult part (most importantly, relationships and history).
6.28.18 Boi!!! This was the hardest one to edit, because of his personality, because he's honestly such a douchebag. I love him (and here I thought that I had asshole characters before, but nah; even so, I'm sure he's tame compared to other peoples' deliberately-douchey characters). I kinda like how the reference itself turned out, even if the coloring on the text is a little murkier than I would've preferred. Damn you and your hazel eyes, Spotted!!

Tragic Flaw(s): Prideful, Liar, Needlessly Cruel
– Prideful: Spottedkit is all about appearances, therefore one of his fatal flaws is the very cliché one of pride, from the seven deadly sins. He truly believes he's better than anyone else, that he's a step above most, if not all, Clancats, and that looks are (pretty much) everything. He's just really snooty and turns his nose up at most cats.
– Habitual Liar: The above is attached to the fact that he's a liar of the highest degree, and a terrible habitual one at that. It's not even compulsive, really, because he just plain lies because it's fun and can stop if he wants to. He usually mixes it with being deadpanned or sarcastic to make the lies seem more authentic in a way that implies, "Wow, you seriously didn't get/know/understand that?" in conversations.
– Needlessly Cruel: He isn't above prodding other cats' weak spots and/or reservations, and can be unnecessarily cruel when he pokes metaphorical wounds with his lies. This flaw, most of all, is the one he has the least interest in changing. He's well aware of its downfalls (and how dangerous it certainly is), but in the short run, he's fine with that.

Look, I loved my parents (I guess), but they were so flippin' lame! "Oh, yeah, he has spots, so let's call him Spottedkit." That's so boring! Like, then Hummingkit hums the slightest bit after she's born, and she's Hummingkit. Or she supposedly hummed. I still don't even know if she actually did, or it was a sound that seemed like one. I'm surprised they didn't call her Purrkit or Mewkit, but it's better than mine. They also took forever giving me my name in general, and it's just...why? They didn't even name me for a while, because Hummy's apparently was "so naturally just hers. You, dear, were a bit harder to pin down." Spoiler alert: they took ages 'cause I bet they forgot. Granted, look at their names, so I shouldn't be surprised, because it runs in the family. But then they up and die! Seriously? Anyway, they were always fussing over Hummingkit, so whatever. I actually can't say I'm jealous of her, since she always told me how grating it was, and it looked exhausting. They honestly weren't the brightest cats, if you ask me.
She's my sister and so clever, and just as pretty as I am, so we match well. Even though she was our parents' favorite out of all us, she never let it get to her head. By the way, she calls my crush stupid, but then she's got one on dumb Quillkit! She has no room to talk, the dummy (I still love her, though).
Ugh...every family's got to have a whackjob and he's ours. Goldenclaw always said he was crazy, and Lyricsong just...I don't know what she thought of him, but she always got this look on her face and her nose wrinkled, like someone put foxdung in front of her, so really, I think that says it all. He's so obsessed with StarClan and needs to chill.
Blood is thicker than water, but if you separate it carefully, it doesn't have to touch at all...meaning, he isn't my brother, if you ask me. He's such a weirdo. Sometimes I catch him looking at me and it gives me the creeps.
I think Sunstar is so cool. He founded a whole Clan, after all! I want to be like him one day (and I will be, just you watch).
I don't know anything about her, but I personally see her as pretty cool, too! I'll have to take her position one day on the way to leadership.
She's so pretty! I'm in love! I wish she'd notice me. Hummingkit says my flirting needs work...
She's Hummingkit and I's caretaker, now that our parents are dead. I actually really like her, surprisingly enough, which is strange, because Hummy and I don't tend to like many cats.

Gross. Granted, I guess she isn't wrong, 'cause he is handsome -- just not as handsome as me. Either way, I wish Silkleaf hadn't started taking care of him. We should throw him out of the Clan and let the forest deal with him!
He tried to give me advice on how to win Appleflower over, but instead made me embarrass myself and get in trouble. Just wait until I get my paws on him...

HISTORY Kithood, 1-6 Moons || Janurary 14th, 2018
– Born to Goldenclaw and Lyricsong, two much older warriors, when they were still cats of SkyClan
– He and Hummingkit were their third, and final, litter of kits
– It was sort of an unspoken thing that their parents had two other litters: Tawnypaw and Goldenfaith, but both weren't mentioned much, because they weren't she-cats (which ya know, just wasn't cool apparently)
– They named his sister, Hummingkit (of course, her name was interesting, but also seriously, it was based on a single sound that may or may not even happened smh)
– They hemmed and hawed over Spottedkit's for legit almost a moon and a half, before (predictably, because of how this family works) choosing a seriously lame one for his spots
– Also: they nearly gave him an identity crisis by calling him different names, trying to figure out which to pick; like, his eyes were almost fully settled on their final hazel color before they decided at last to name him properly
– Mostly, they doted on Hummingkit, tbh, because they wanted her to be proper and dainty, and keep her mouth shut like a good lil she-cat
– In the meantime, Spottedkit sits there, and is like, "What am I, chopped liver? A next door neighbor?"
– The higher ups of SkyClan recieved a prophecy from StarClan to fracture into smaller Clans, with some going to new territory
– There was a journey to the new territory, and on the way, Goldenclaw and Lyricsong debated for ages on which Clan to go to
– They took forever despite Clanmates' urges to decide before they literally died of old age (they were rly old ok)
– Because they can never make a decision in a timely manner, the group was damn near split before they settled on SunClan, because "It sounds pretty, doesn't it, honey?"
– Tawnypaw and Brightfaith wanted to join SunClan, too, which helped keep the family together
– By this time, the two kits were roughly a moon old, and were vaguely told what was happening, but were sort of kept "sheltered"
– The move to SunClan happened, but the stress of it all, plus from giving birth in her older age, got to Lyricsong and she passed away about a half-moon later
– Goldenclaw did his best by his kits, but ultimately was too awkward and reserved to be a good father (also read: he was an asshole, tho)
– Eventually, he passed away, too, so that Hummingkit and Spottedkit, now two moons, were in SunClan with Tawnypaw and Brightfaith
– One of the nursery queens, Silkleaf, took to keeping an eye out for them and taking care of them, to which Spottedkit was not impressed by this
– He totally fell in love with the other permanent nursery queen, Appleflower, because she's just sO PRETTY, GUYS

TRIVIA – Human!AU, his name is Sawyer
– Hogwarts!AU, he's in Slytherin, and lets you know it ; o ; pretty good in most of the bigger things, because gotta be the Best of the Best apparently (real talk: he sucks at flying/Quidditch, most "emotional" stuff like figuring out his patronus, smaller spells like alohomora and lumos, and several other little things...oh, and his pet is a frog)
– This is sort of how Bliteberry and Flightless would've been in DOW, but as y'all can see, the personalities did a total 180 :'D So now the sibling pairs are nothing alike in personality or appearance
– His Disney counterpart is Naveen from The Princess and the Frog
– I highly doubt he'll ever get scars. He's conceited and doesn't want his pelt marked, so if anyone ever does inflict a scar on him, he will seriously be pissed beyond belief and legit attack you in a blind rage
– OKAY, SO...with his parents: Bee and I couldn't stop laughing at how unoriginal the family is. Their dad was golden-brown and had claws, so he's called Goldenclaw. Their mother (which stems from the DOW 'verse, and their mum, Lyric the kittypet) is Lyric- because it just sounds nice and she was gorgeous. Then -song because just...it fits, I guess, even if it flows weird, imo. Anyway, these two new parents looked at their kids and decided on Spottedkit for a spotted tom (SO UNIQUE, AMIRITE) and Hummingkit. For the latter, it was because not only is she feminine and pretty and unique, but it resembles Lyricsong's name, and she's also pretty and feminine and unique. In the meantime, Spottedkit's name is boring af and has no substance, and he knows it
– There's more to it with the above fact, because their parents were sexist, too, and believed in "proper gender roles"...hence the doting on Hummingkit being proper, and Spottedkit is supposed to be all gruff and stoic or whatever. Nice try, guys. Look at him. You broke a perfectly good cat and now he's a buttwipe. All in all, the gist of it is that parents were The Worst and shallow af
– All my characters have somewhat good relationships with their parents, deceased or otherwise, so for once, Bee and I wanted characters who didn't give a damn OTL Therefore, he's pretty ungrateful toward them, though to be fair, he almost had no reason to be ;'p
– He has a huge crush on Appleflower. Like, seriously loves her (in a kit-like way, as kits tend to think all crushes mean love)
– He's my most asshole character ever. At first, I was worried he'd be like Asterkit, but...yeah, no, that didn't happen
– When Bee asked me what I wanted him to look like, all I could think was, "Charred/burned colored markings!!!" and she asked for specifics, but I was just like ": )" and said nothing more. Needless to say, she delivered. He looks like a warped, almost-burnt-with-parts-strangely-unmelted marshmallow
– His voice actor was originally Magnus Bane on Shadowhunters. Then I remembered Damon Salvatore, who I love, existed
– The motto "We do not have ugly genes in our family" has been passed through the family for generations. Clearly Spottedkit's vanity came from somewhere
