Description
The basic concept for this redesign was actually completed back in 1995. The tubes on the head is to give a similar look on a fighter pilot's oxygen mask (a design element that is on all the Decepticon jets). I also gave Cyclonus a bit of a knight look in the over all visual to make him seem somewhat "heroic".This design did make it into my Decepticon Group Shot: [link]

That's probably because most designer do not have a motif to what they design. They either bulk them up or add details without considering the character or personality.
