whilst looking at what i've been submitting ... i see people.people of priviledge -- albeit talented -- but of priviledge nonetheless.
they are pretty.
they are interesting.
but ... whilst walking from a parking garage to an assignment at the santa barbara international film festival ...
this guy caught my eye.
i stood there drinking my water.
and he says, "you wanna photograph jesus?"
"i already have."
he looks at me quizzically ...
"what do you mean?"
"i try to see what jesus meant and is and was ... in everyone i meet, bro."
i gave them $5.00.
i pick and choose the people on the street whom i give money.
there was something that was tangible about this group of guys.
yeah, they'll spend it on something other than getting their lives together.
whatever.
not really my problem.
but ... they're human.
just like george.

and ... you can make beautiful photographs ...
it doesn't matter of whom.
just ... the human condition.
whether it's backstage at some crazy super-exclusive event...
of your family ...
of someone on the street ...
because ...
they're all family.
