Copy Cat — Description

Torres stepped onto her sunny patio, the warm glow of the morning sun blanketing the area. She laid out her yoga mat, taking in the fresh air as she prepared for her routine. A light breeze carried the sound of the waves from the beach, making her smile. It was a peaceful day, and she was ready to dive into her stretches.
As she moved into a deep stretch, arching her back eloquently, a soft rustling sound came from the side. Torres turned her head to see Checkers, Victoria’s cat she was pet-sitting for the week, trotting onto the patio. The cat’s spotted coat shimmered in the sunlight, and his large, curious eyes locked onto Torres.
Torres smiled as Checkers approached and stood a few feet away, staring intently. Then, as if trying to match Torres’ moves, Checkers began to stretch too, arching his tiny back in perfect mimicry. His claws extended slightly, and a long, exaggerated yawn escaped him, revealing his tiny teeth.
Torres laughed softly, reaching out to pet the cat. Checkers padded closer, purring loudly. Torres scratched behind his ears and planted a quick kiss on top of his head. “You are quite the little yogi, huh?”
Checkers, satisfied with the attention, stretched again, before rolling lazily on the warm patio floor. Torres shook her head with a smile, returning to her routine. As she moved through her poses, she couldn’t help but glance at Checkers every so often, amused at his adorable antics every so often.
