Torres strutted along the sun-kissed shore, bottle in hand, her muscles glistening under the afternoon sun like some kind of beachside demigoddess. Her red bikini popped against her warm tan skin, and her bandana fluttered slightly in the breeze. It was a vibe, no doubt—but something still felt off.
Sure, people glanced her way. Sure, they always did. But this was different. Her friends Erika and Victoria had been acting a little too giggly, like they were in on a joke she wasn’t privy to. Still, Torres brushed it off. After all, being the only one at a party with a goddess physique could sometimes feel like being a lioness at a petting zoo. You just roll with it.
What she didn’t notice—was a crab.
