Description
Gift forNecessitas in loco, spes in virtute, salus in victoria (The need in the place, hope in the power, the salvation in victory)...
Er, I'm not a big fan of PolxRus ... their relationships has been really chequered through the ages. It was really hard to draw their poses, because I wanted to make some dynamic scene.
They clad in XVII century clothes. I decided to leave Poland's kontusz opened.
He looks more XDD
And yeah, Ivan is without his scarf once again
Should Russia be more taller than Poland?
And I'm sorry about those two white lines on the background. It used to be two falling stars but I aborted this idea and forgot erase them. And near Feliks are flying two petals XD I made sky too complicated.
Feliks Łukasiewicz
Ivan Braginsky

Their clothes were very loosely based on XVI-XVII Polish and Russian nobility's wear. It's much more a result of my imagination than clothes, that really existed. You can google "szlachta polska", "ogniem i mieczem", "kontusz", "husarz zbroja", "боя́рин" or "1612: Хроники Смутного времени" to find some cool examples and inspirations. And thank you so much for your comment I'll try to draw some RusPol soon

Very nice. You did a great job with both the poses and the clothes. The background and the yellowish tone give the picture a somewhat 'old' atmosphere, like the picture is taken out of a fairy tale. Kind of like of a Russian book with illustrations; Russians be knowing what I'm talking about
Anyway, great job!
It's an instant fave.

I'm not necessarily fond of the whole Russia/Poland thing, either, but this piece definitely makes a compelling case for the two to be together, at least in the past. I love it.

I love the sky and the clothes in this picture!
You really feel a sense of camaraderie in this picture between the two of them, instead of the usual violent rivalry. ^_^

yup just a skirmish, or a begining of the battle (when both of them are safe and sound)

katana by z nią przegrała
i jest jedną z najbardziej charakterystycznych dla Polski
