Oh, they did that? Well, here's a "counter-argument". In Smash 4, weren't the Mii fighter icons all in one? In Ultimate, the three of them are now separate icons. I'll believe that the icons will "shrink" if I see that starting roster again and the icons are bigger. Nevertheless, thank you for mentioning this.
...Okay, I'm a littled bummed over Shadow and Shantae not making it as playable, but the important thing is that the infamous Grinch leak was fake all along.
