He was raised by a woman sired by Ra's al Ghul... A man stripped slowly of his humanity in exchange for exessivly extending his own life and raised her to his own beliefs. She has actually proved more insane and cruel than her father. Calling the legue misguided is bull. Just because they don't see themselves as evil does not make them not evil. Still pretty believable due to the Lazarus pit having a profound affect on anyone who is stupid enough to use it. Even more profound on people with an already warped view of the world to begin with. She had some serious daddy issues and a questionable understanding of morality and healthy relationships. Even when she first met Bruce, she had no problem following him when it suited her needs only to always choose her father's side in the end. Though, retcons are nothing new. The explanation for most of them are almost always the Flash, Green Lantern, or Superman screwing with time travel.
