Description
Back in 2005, I decided to get a costume based on my favorite superhero series, Kamen Rider. Lacking the funds for a full costume replica, I created my own Rider. I have dubbed it Kamen Rider Custom. While I love the new series Riders armor, there's always been something about the plain clothes armor Riders of the past that I thought was awesome.
These are pictures of the costume when it was first created, and during the second year I had it. I unfortunately do not have any recent photos of the costume which show off the new, longer antennae, new gloves, and the newer, larger belt. I am hoping to rectify this sometime in the coming weeks depending on when I can get help in taking the photos.
The helmet is a modified Sky Rider helmet, painted dark green because I liked how it looked compared to the bright green it was originally painted when I purchased it. I replaced the mirrored lenses with wiremesh for better visibility and airflow.
The muffler-scarf, jacket, boots, and pants I already owned. I simply added spikes to the shoulders to make it better looking. The scarf was sewn by my friend Amanda Berman.
Originally, I was using the DX Kamen Rider Faiz Faiz-Driver for my belt. I have since bought the 1/1 scale (And very expensive) Adult Sized Orga Driver to replace it. The Orga Driver is much nicer as it has leather and die-cast.
The chest plate is a Star Wars stormtrooper chest that I spraypainted silver. It's the one piece right now that I'm looking to replace to make it a bit more Riderish, but at the same time have no idea what with.
This costume has won 2 awards.

I wish I could too. I'd make a more original looking one for the costume if I had that ability.
This one came from a seller in Taiwan. Does really nice work. Or did, haven't seen him put any up lately.
