Personally, I think this is a nice comment on the tension between TV news, audience attention spans, political apathy, simulacra and the postmodern sublime.

I think by the day of the Appocolypse (as predicted by holy text, though they're often wrong) the Americans won't have the testicular fortitude to still be hanging around in Iraq, they'll all want to go home by then.
