Those Eyes... — Description

Amenii looked into those hollow eyes, there was a something there, yet not.

The pale blue stared up into the sky, as though to curse the twilight that was rapidly fading. Night would be upon her soon, and she had lost her flint and tinder. She cursed.

It was as though the eyes could see into her, unblinking and terrible all at once. She did not know the bunny who lay before her, but it felt as though she were looking into a twisted mirror. Matted fur, and skin blackened with the cold, the ragged corpse, still kept the torn dress wrapped around it's slender form.

Black fur, not brown.

She had to remind herself that, why she did not know, only that it was important. Black fur, not brown.

I am alive. This one, this, Rabbit, was dead. But the eyes still held her, beckoning her. On the dead rabbits lips was a silent promise, 'soon...'

Shivering, she pulled back, suddenly revolted by the corpse.

Night was coming.

And the Wall was many leagues away. Turing she fled into the sinking sun. Only to pause one last time at the forests edge.

'No.' She whispered as loud as she dared, and fled into the trees.

On the frozen tundra the dead stirred, it's cold blue eyes turned in the direction of its prey.

'Soon Sister...'

C.S. Notes: Okay, Vent core complete. I feel better now. So, as you can see, a lot of frustration, anger, and a touch of dread was poured into this piece. It is like a cruel jape of 'Dem Eyes'.
