I figured I would give her some time to recover and just enjoy the wash of hormones that tell mothers how happy they are. Like a series of fireworks going off in one's brain.

Agreed. (silently tiptoes out of the hospital room, not wanting to wake the new mother)

Stirs briefly, as she takes hold of the blanket, pulling it to her chest and then drifts back to sleep.

She's earned it. It's been hard enough to deliver, and all the chaos building up to the moment was very draining. So, now she gets a break, just some time to rest and recover from all the mental and physical strain.

I'm sure Amenii would appreciate that all the same. After all, it's not every day that a bunny delivers outside her species.

Thank you, she needed a break after all the stress and drama built up to the present.

It is, she needed a rest following all that stress, both mental and physical. So, she's taking a few hours to sleep, while her body's hormones run their course.
Nera is watching their cub in the meantime.

Your art style is fantastic. I wish I had found out about you and your characters sooner. I'd love to see the progress of the relationship between Amenii and Nera.

Thank you, I do enjoy your felines as well.
Well, now that you mention it, There are several story lines throughout the gallery, none of them linked I fear. But I can set you on the right path of how Amenii and Nera became so close.

Well, my felines are actually creations of my mind. The artwork was commissioned by me. (I'm not artist, yet.) The Azarothy was the creation of the artist ARVEN92 and I bought him to, hopefully, use in one of my stories. If you're interested in learning more about my story, go to my page. It's posted there. I have one more chapter to upload and Part I of the story will be finished.
