The rapping at the door continued, a gentle thing that still carried with it a desperate undertone. Amenii worked her way down to the door and pulled it open. Cold air swept in from the night causing her to shiver. In the darkness snow billowed all around the figure in the door, Amenii opened her mouth but the words died there at the strange sight before her.
Snow this time of year was odd, it was possible one of the refrigeration units had malfunctioned dropping the temperature just above freezing. The wet flakes danced around melting the second they hit the ground. Stranger yet was the figure in the doorway, a thin woman with large ears and a painted face. Amenii recognized her as some kind of canine, but not a wolf, maybe from the savanna?

Her clothes were even stranger, a thick red scarf was wrapped around the canines neck was patched and torn in many locations. Her sweater looked to be several sizes too big and hung off her shoulders, forcing her to constantly tug at the edges to keep it up. Stranger yet was her pants, a brown pair of breeches that were held together by brown thread moving down the side of each of her legs. The sight may have been comical on anyone else, save for her eyes that were haunting and filled with pain.

‘Umh?’ Amenii managed. ‘Can I help you?’

The canine shifted, wrapping her arms around herself.

‘Please…’ Her voice was heavily accented, clearly she was not from around Zootopia. ‘I’m looking for someone. His name is Jack…’
