Sunbathing — Description

Sydney and Tony were students at Magic Academy. One day Tony saw Sydney on the roof of the school. She was in a bathing suit and appeared to be sunbathing. He wanted an excuse to get close to her so he decided to go up and see her.

Sydney was casting a beauty augmentation spell. She picked the roof of the school because with all the excess magical energy floating around it was the best place to do it. She did not want to be disturbed but she did not set up any barriers and Tony arrived at a critical moment.

"Stay back!" warned Sydney when she saw him.

If Tony had left at that moment, he would have been safe. Instead he ignored her and stepped forward. Between Sydney and Tony was a big ball of light. A circle of magical objects had been placed all around them with the big ball of light in the center.

Sydney was laying down on a towel with the ball of light almost directly above her. Tony could see he was also inside the circle. Despite this, he continued to ignore the danger and stepped forward so that he was directly about her.

"What is going on?" asked Tony.

Before Sydney could reply, there was a bright flash of light as the ball dispersed itself exposing anyone inside the circle. Sydney looked more beautiful than she was before. Toni did too. Toni had changed into a rather attractive female. She was also wearing a swimsuit even though she had not been before.
"You got in the way of my beauty augmentation spell," scolded Sydney with obvious disappointment in her voice. "I tried to warn you but you wouldn't listen."
"How long will this last?" cried Toni looking down at herself.
"I'm not sure," admitted Sydney. "The spell was supposed to last about a week but you absorbed about half the energy so I would guess three or four days. The spell is also supposed to fade gradually. I have no idea how that will go for you."
Toni imagined herself half male and half female in a few days as the spell gradually faded. If there was something worse than being turned into the opposite sex, it was being half turned into the opposite sex. With her normal characteristics returning, covering it up will be nearly impossible.
"What do I tell the others?" wondered Toni.
"Tell them it was the result of a spell gone wrong which is the truth," suggested Sydney, disappointed that Toni did not seem to care that half her spell had been wasted. "Spells go wrong around here all the time. They'll understand."
Sydney continued to sunbathe as if it was nothing unusual. Toni joined her. She was looking for a way to get close to her and this was her chance, even if things did not go quite like he wanted.
Toni would do her best to make it up to Sydney for ruining her spell. Meanwhile Sydney would help Toni adjust to life as a girl while she was under the effects of her spell. Eventually the spell would fade. It would just take time.
