Kado was a fairy who attended Alfea. He was able to learn the spells he was given and complete his classes. It was nothing spectacular but he was able to pass everything. He never expected anything like an enchantix to happen to him.
One evening, Kado left his building and headed to the girls' building to visit one of his classmates. What he did not know was that two witches were after said classmates. They managed to sneak into Alfea. They captured the classmate just outside the building and then created a force field so no one could see or hear what was going on inside.
"Tell us where you hid the magic orb," insisted the first witch.
"Never!" the fairy retorted. "It will only increase your powers. It does not matter what you do to me."
"In that case you are no longer of use to us," sneered the second witch.
The second witch created a beam which was supposed to kill the classmate but at that exact moment Kado walked into the forcefield and got hit by the beam. He did not even have time to react. It was an incredible stroke of bad luck, or good luck. Accidental or not, it was an act of sacrifice which caused him to gain his enchantix powers.
Since Kado was just outside the girls' building, the enchantix designed to match his environment caused his body to change from male to female. Blond twintails grew out of his, or her, head. Although they were long enough to reach her feet, they remained in the air due to the magical energy surrounding her.
Her clothing also changed. A pink and orange skirt appeared around her waist along with an orange top and a ribbon which wrapped around her feet and legs. No sign of her previous clothing remained. Kado was given a new name, Stella, to match her new appearance. Most importantly, her wings glowed with all the colors of the rainbow which let everyone know she had gained enchantix powers.
The witches had no idea how it happened but they knew they were no match for enchantix powers. They left the area as far as they could go. They would have to go another day. Stella freed her classmate and healed her wounds to the best of her ability. Then she sealed the passage the witches used to make sure she would never use that passage again.
Seeing what had happened, the other fairies brought Stella inside and showed her around the place. Her new location would be decided later. At the moment, she had quite a story to tell.
