Desolation, a NightWing with MudWing blood, was a formidable assassin for hire. He had a fierce reputation for brutal killings and his massive size and strength. He also slept around a lot, resulting in many offspring that he doesn't know or care about. One day he decided to mate with a MudWing to produce powerful offspring to follow his footsteps as a murderer. The first attempt, Alligator was hatched and Desolation was enraged to discover the IceWing heritage of his 'egg-bearer'. Two years later, he tried again with a MudWing, and one year later Calamity hatched.
Calamity was forced through training from the second he hatched to become an assassin, and much to the dismay of his father, he was too 'soft' and couldn't carry out killings. Desolation gave him his scars through the rigorous training, and never showed affection to his children.
When Calamity was three, Alligator couldn't take it anymore and ran away from home, promising him to come back once she had a stable life to take him away with her. Calamity begged her not to go, but Alligator left anyway.
After Alligator left, the harsh words and training got worse.
