Description
Rorric lives beneath the canopies of the South American rain forest. His dam was a Harpy eagle/melanistic jaguar gryphon; his sire was a bateleur/leopard gryphon who went wayward across the Atlantic ocean during a storm. Though he takes more after his father in plumage, his crest and muscular build are inherited from his mother. Rorric's tufted ears are short enough to be hidden by his facial feathers and his crest often has broken or missing feathers from skirmishes.Character designed by "Ciameth" C.Morrow 2010.

The patterning and color transitions on his back and hind legs are beautiful. I love his face, too. It's cute, in that pug dog "I'm not really all that pretty but still, you can't resist this face" way.

Hahaha. The bateleurs have pretty colors but all the naked flesh, for the face of an eagle, is a little weird. I think the pug-dog analogy is spot on
