Springtime Mandala — Description

For The Holi Mandala Contest .

Okay, did not get quite as ridiculously colourful as I could have. My bad. Could have worked with a different amount of symmetry but I'm just really used to working sixfold because of all the snowflakes I do. But now winter is over and it is TIME FOR SPRING (I'm still working on some snowflake stuff though, because when am I not).

In the middle are some crocus blossoms, because where I live those are always the first flowers out after winter. Some ants and bees since all the little crawly things are emerging (can't wait to watch the orbweavers making webs in my workshop windows again). Bird's nest with eggs because they are going to start screaming soon. All the plants are bursting out again — I swear every year it seems to go buds buds buds buds LEAVES EVERYWHERE in an explosion of greenery, instead of simply gradual growth — represented by the vines with leaves and flowers, Yellow border to represent the Sun and the increasing amount of daylight in the northern hemisphere where I am located. In three more months the Sun will rise just before 04:00 and won't be setting until almost 23:00 at my latitude.
