Bio: She has deep, passionate feelings about the Great War as each and every one of her family members fought - 5 of their family of 9 died, leaving only Penelope, a younger sister and her mother. What was left of her family struggled during the war, being from a Pokemon breeder's farm just out of the city - her family had no belongings besides the clothes on their back and feeding all three of them was very hard because the numbers of Pokemon that had been displaced the same as them who also needed access to the rations being shared put a big strain on the system. She found herself mixing with probably a not so great crowd that taught her some tricks to make life easier... soon enough she was part of a group that had channels they could use to get people what they were after, for a price. Clothing, food, bedding: anything they got their hands on, mostly through looting abandoned homes, was something desperate people needed. They made a lot of money this way. Her mother never asked where the relative comfort came from, and Penelope never told.

The group consisted of herself, a Toxicroak, a pair of Sneasel twins, a Buneary and a Mandibuzz who ran the whole show. Penelope felt almost like part of a special family. Things can't last forever, though. When Agnes (the Mandibuzz) declared an area picked clean they had to move. Despite Penelope being a part of their scheme for the first two years of the war, when she declared she couldn't leave her family over this, they dropped her like a sack of bricks. Now, without any of the benefits that came with being in the group with a direct access to as much food as you'd ever need to be comfortable, she felt resentful once again having to survive on rations like everyone else. It wasn't just about survival, anymore. Why should she have to live on scraps while other sources could get her what she needed to actually be comfortable? Her mother and sister had had enough of the sneaking around, hating the new person that Penelope had become, and the next time they had to move, they left her behind. She was truly alone.

So she turned to getting close to other people. Befriending them, being good to them, before stabbing them in the back and robbing them blind. At first it was food - a tin of fruit here, a can of soup there. To make her family more comfortable, is what she told herself. It didn't take long to extend to money and whatever other valuables she could get her hands on. This was how she met Landon and Effie. Except she actually genuinely LIKED them and found herself starting to believe her own con. Maybe it was just because Effie reminded her of her own siblings, or because Landon had a way of getting her to actually genuinely laugh. They made her feel less alone, more in touch with who she was before the group warped her personality. Effie was fun and Landon became very, very special to her. She spent 2 entire years with them, even having a genuine romance with the Noibat that lasted over a year in itself.

Bumping into Agnes again changed things. The Mandibuzz acted overwhelmed with joy to see her again, and sorrow to have ever left her. Penelope should have been smarter, should have known better, but she ate it all up and became once again sucked into their scheme. Through the groups old encouragement and desperately trying to prove herself to them so they wouldn't leave her behind again, she betrayed her true friends and stole everything they had worth anything. Except this time it didn't feel good. It just felt like she'd betrayed part of herself, as well. She couldn't fix this, either, and the realisation that she'd never see Landon or Effie again broke her heart. It had taken two years with them to undo the damage that the old scheming group had done, and two seconds to go right back to the old person she was, and that pained her very deeply.

None of them could have known that the war would end so soon after. Penelope saw it coming the second time Agnes and her gang left her, and the Stunky realised for the first time in her life that she was truly utterly alone.

She wouldn't tell you if you asked her, but she feels rather lost in life and unsure of what to do with herself. Joining Team Flying Fox after meeting them again by chance in Voyage Village is the first step she's made to hopefully finding her way. She desperately wants to make amends for her actions during the War, despite being told by Landon since her return that he can't give her the forgiveness she's looking for. Luckily, Effie let her stay.
