Err... no, I wasn't trying to create some sort of poetry there.

Anyway, this fanart is for an individual named Rose. She e-mailed me at my Lycos account asking if I could draw more angsty pics aside from my Anguish one. Although I don't normally take requests, I feel so guilty for not answering her because I rarely check my Lycos mail nowadays, so I wasn't able to see her message until a few weeks ago (I try to make it a point to reply to messages sent to me whenever I can).

So, Rose, I hope you like it!

On to the coloring. As all of you may have noticed, I've never colored this way before until now (thus the "color experiment" I was talking about at my status journal). This took me forever and a day!! And I'm pretty sure I got the anatomy wrong, too. Plus, I've said it once and I'm saying it again, I hate drawing backgrounds! All I could do was hope that my random scribbling and smudging had made it look like there's a brick wall out there. I suppose it worked out a little. But the background seems so... blank and boring.

I certainly need more practice in this kind of coloring. And that takes a lot of time and patience that I don't have most of the time. So I will now bask with this particular piece (it's not perfect, but at least I tried!), in hopes that someday I'll be able to do something better. Whenever that someday may be.

Now. Back I go to my casual-yet-easier-to-do shading!

Oh, could someone please tell me if I should mark this thing as mature? Thanks!
