This time the preview is from the project directly, i bet you can guess on what i am working just from this picture. This picture is of course completely made by me to look as close to the original as possible. The Image is a HD Picture 1920x1080, hope you like it. ^^The Character on this Image is Furude Rika from Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai , I made her look a bit more older but hope you still like her.
This drawing is done in Anime/Manga style of art which originated from the eastern countries like Japan.
Tools Used: Adobe Flash, Adobe Photoshop, DivX and Adobe After Effects

If it is from my head then i suppose you can envy but not if its a fan-art. Remember? I can copy by looking at works very well so it's not like it is a skill to me since i can easily get her look, hehe. ^^

Well, usually you start learning how to draw by doing something simple as copying, of course learning as much as you can from it. Once you can do 90% of accuracy you can learn the physics and how light affects things and such. Then you can do more complex things like doing all fine details to a point where it looks very good. That is the ideal way of course but if you take shortcuts you won't learn much nor be fast nor be creative. ^^
The techniques of drawing differ by person. If you go by books, from what i saw you will most likely start drawing outlines first as sketches and then sketch the details in and in the end making your main lines very thick, deleting all the "sketch" line so a clear lineart is left. Some people ink it at this part but if you have a scanner you don't need because you can edit it on your pc or even trace over your own work to make it "inked". Hope that helps you~ ^^

Well, for everything you need patience, especially for drawing. The more time you invest in one work the better it's gonna be in the end, the end result is all that matters~ ^^

Thanks for the advise, I tend to think that if it's not done in an hour or two I should give up on it instead of just continuing to patiently work on it until I have the desired outcome. ^^

I sometimes work on some things if not 2 days straight lol, until you feel it is done and are satisfied you shouldn't stop or give up from it~ How much effort you give in it shows~ ^^
