Castiel in Vector and Ink — Description
I was not yet a Supernatural fan at the time Misha Collins trolled my ass at Dragon*Con 2011 . I honestly didn't know the guy from a hole in the wall -- my ex-boyfriend was the only one who did -- and although I was pretty stoked that Something Weird and Fun Happened to Charlotte (tm) that night, I kind of brushed it off afterwards.

Then Tumblr got a hold of the story .

Oh lord. Brace yourself for Hurricane Fangirl.

At that point I figured I had really better start watching the series. And now, well, hell, I'm hooked. I'm starting Season 6 now -- I've read ahead a little, so I know a bit about where things are going -- and while it's not the greatest TV series ever, it really is a hell of a lot of fun. And so very many pretty boys to look at. So many.

Cas is, obviously, my favorite character (Dean is a really close second; Sam doesn't even make my top 5). This image popped into my head the other day, so I sketched it out, scanned it in, cleaned it up in Illustrator and Photoshop (thanks, LiveTrace!), and there you go. I don't have a lot of experience drawing feathered wings, but I'm pretty happy with it. Tattoo-worthy, maybe? Probably not for me. That's not really how I roll. But I'd be flattered if anyone else wanted to use it.

I have other, less permanent plans for an homage at this year's Dragon*Con.
