Description
Since i have decided to maybe write a story about Shem, i must think through his back-story a bit more.Anyway, what i have right now is that he was once a trickster god; he stole the bottle of water that the earth god was going to put on a huge patch of land to make it fertil and drank it himself. This patch of land became a giant desert and Wakhakshem (Shem for short) was punished for his actions with the task of carrying Namset, a huge jug of water that never ran out, to all of the people of the desert without one sip for himself because he was the one that caused the dunes to remain waterless.
He was charged with this task for a thousand years...
On he 999th year, only days away from the end of his sentance, his thrist grew unbearable and he drank all of the water currently in Namset, before discarding the jug, and left the small villages for dead.
The gods grew angry and attatched Namset to Shem's body with chains, "At least I will never grow thirsty again!" Shem cackled, but he was foolish to point this out. The gods took the water from Namset and buried it deep under the sands of the desert, while filling the, now empty jug, with the desert sand.
This sand would always remind Shem of his foolishness and that he was trapped in the desert wandering the dunes for all eternity.
Namset means 'jug of water' in Egyptian (even though this story does not take place in a world we know i decided to use Egyptian names).
Wakhakshem means 'little fool' in Egyptian.
Shem can use Namset as a weapon by swinging it around and maybe i will make it so he can guide the sands inside it to do his bidding too.
If i were to write the story, Shem would have a human form most likely (i find it easier to write about humans) that would be incredibly handsome and bold. He would have blonde hair and blue eyes to distinguish him from the desert dwellers.
I am not sure what the story would be about, maybe mortal Shem's quest to be released from his shackles or something. Would that make a good novel do you think?

WOW! i love the picture! the cains make it more complex and the wolf's coloring reminds me of those egyptian pharoah dogs. Maybe you can write a story where he is freed from his curse by a female wolf. but that is just coming from a romance novelist. lol. but the picture is amazing.

wether he is freed or not is up for debate, but if he is, it will be romantic. *is a sucker for romance* lol

Love the backstory for him, and I also love how the sand in the bottle turned out. Very well done, it really looks like it's in a bottle.
Novel wise though, a stary about him trying to break free from his curse/banishment would be cool. Also it's almost like a one of those mythology books where it says the adventures of the gods.
Anyway, I think it would be interesting to see his human form.^^

i was surprised at how the sand actually came out good. ^^
I don't do mangas so it would be a novel most likely... i need to come up with more names for other characters. ^^

ooh, i love his story! i would say poor shem, but he pretty much brought it on himself... he's very pretty, and his story really does sound like one of those old-time greek myths.
