Description TRTC readers can guess I have something of a nostalgic soft spot for Snakemen. I still maintain that they were, ironically, probably the most human aliens in the XCOM verse-setting circa the First Alien War. They weren't all mindless drones, or castrated mind-controlled killing machines, or floating corpses animated by insane psi powers... they always struck me as just a mercenary species who happened to be working for/with the aliens running the Earth Experiment.

Plus, they introduced us to the ever lovable Chryssalid from which I get my name!

Anyway: in this version of the pic you can see the original UFOpedia non-autopsy Snakeman picture. I actually made this pic pretty quickly. Hmm. I guess I should've spent more time on the alien plasma rifle, but... bo ho ho... I'm so lazy...

Snakemen & XCOM are from those old boys at Microprose, back in like 1999 or something. Long time ago, kids!

Gonna be honest, I always kinda thought they had four eyes rather than two..

Much better than X-COM 2's vipers. These snakemen would have been able to strangle someone in a single turn.

1999? This game was made in 1994, believe it!

Best. Game. Ever.

And a very nice tribute, too!

Ah, the original X-COM... good times. And such a well-done drawing.
Faved for the old-school awesomeness.

Heh. Thanks. Always good to see a fellow Xcommie!
Or at least an old fan of the classics...

I'm always glad to see and hear about another Xcommie! Even after all these years, the X-COM community survives all across the net!
(sorry for the late response, too, but I've been away the last week)
