My sickness (just a cold, apparently) is clearing up, so I was able to make this today. Again took me longer than it needed to, I think that just happens when I freehand them. But either way I'm really happy with this one. I know I say this a lot, but this is my new favourite sprite.
The backsprite reference art that I made is based on the sprite by PokéCommunity's Dreadwing93.
