Description
Crafted in October of 2009.The main character from the video game Rune Factory (( [link] )). This is not an officially-licensed product, only something that I made for fun. He is entirely hand-sewn and his body and hair are made from felt, while his clothing is cotton fabric. There is only one of these in the whole world and he is not for sale.

I really followed her pattern very closely, but made the legs longer and totally simplified the head.
The pattern for this guy is actually quite messy I didn't really know what I was doing! oAo I definitely wanna revisit the design and put together a neater pattern, something I can share with folks. n_n

I have no idea!!!!! XD Just tons of little horizontal stitches, I guess. They're not even straight when you look at them up close. @_@ I overlapped a little because they were so crooked, and there's a couple of layers just to make sure that none of the felt showed through.

I used a pattern that I drew myself after first making a prototype plush with Babylondonstar's UFO Catcher plush pattern (google that, you'll find it!! o3o). I've been wanting to make an ebook available that details my sewing methods and I have the outline down and everything, but I haven't been able to work on it in a while. =~=
Oh, and thank you!! : D Overall the best advice I can give is to try sewing from existing patterns - you'll learn SO MUCH about how shapes fit together in three dimensions after just one or two projects!! OwO And that's how you'll start to be able to make your own patterns~

Okay, here's someone else's collection of tutorials. The two "Long Doll Silver pattern" deviations plus the two tutorial deviations that explain how to use them (the ones named "New Plushie Tutorial") are all REALLY SIMILAR to Babylondonstar's pattern, it's just a little taller. : D

He is liked very much! If I had tons of moneys or mad skills, I'd have one, too. My skills are in crocheting and go so far as to make wooly-Micah without a pattern. And it's not even very good. Very little detail. I love details, but I never get details to look right. You, my friend, have an amazing talent. Outstanding powers. Use them wisely.

Sorry, but I have two more questions: What type of cloth did you use? And for the zig-zaggy design thingy on the red cape (is that a cape or a pocket? idk); did you make that sort of texture yourself?

There're all kinds of materials in this li'l guy. @_@ His body and hair are made of felt and his clothes are mostly cotton. Some accessories, like his gloves and boots, are felt. His belt and the brown straps on his boots are ribbon. Annnnd the criss-crossy stuff on the red thingy (no idea what to call it, either XD) is ACTUALLY a decorative ribbon that I cut up in portions and pasted around the bottom of the red cotton. Now you know all of my secrets!!

Thank you very much for answering my questions! I also like sewing and making mutant plushies, but when I look at tutorials on dA they say stuff like 'Use fleece cloth. Use some types of cloth I haven't seen/heard of before.'
Now I can whip out my huge collection of felt and random scraps of cloth, and I know that if I practise for a few years or more, I can make stuff that don't look like mutant aliens! Thank you very very much!
