As beautifully detailed as the Dragon and their surroundings are, the lighting and the shadows cast across the wall.
The thing that really makes itself known to me here, is just how sad this scene is..
Poor Dragon, you can really see the fear in their eye..
Whether for gold, for promotion or what they'd been made to believe, meaning more to them than this Dragon. I don't think this knight would turn back. A sad end to something so beautiful..

Yes... it's very sad, but I hope that at least at the last moment the fear will go away and the dragon will fight back. No wonder they say that you should not drive a beast into a corner.
I drew this art impressed by one song. And at the end the beast went to meet the hunter, although he tried to escape all the time.

I was staring at this for ages yesterday trying to find the right words for it, because gosh dang this is amazing!
The amount of detail not only in the dragon but in the background is absolutely stunning, just look at all those shiny scales! And the cracks in the cliff walls are so amazing, rock is a very difficult substance to get right, but you've nailed it! I love the texturing of the dorsal scales on the dragon too.
The shading and lighting really blows me away in this, the hunter's shadow makes them look so menacing and coupled with the dragon's defensive stance and how it's been crammed into a corner really brings out the sense of fear. Phenomenal work!
