A small sound... — Description
okay this is not canon in any story of mine. if anything..its a what if ending for the rescue riding one. and i hate it

it would have ended like the third httyd movie but four months have passed after the separation. hiccup somehow gets word that the hidden world has fallen under attack. he, jack, rapunzel, and merida rush to race to defend their dragon comrades but...since there are no dragons, they have to take ships and it takes waaaaaay longer than it should. once at the hidden world, there's no sign of any enemies and also no dragons. they use their armor and glide down below into the dragon world only to find that something has wiped them all out. all of the dragons are dead. yes dead. all of them. the light fury, echo, blizzard, and yes..even toothless are gone.
some new kind of enemy has somehow killed all of the dragons in their hidden sanctuary.
devastated and brokenhearted, the big four mourn the loss of their dragons and bury those that they can. but hiccup just can't bury his long lost friend.
finally accepting that toothless is gone, hiccup and merida head off to go get the things they need to bury toothless but then a small sound makes them stop. they turn around and to their surprise, there's a baby nightlight trying to wake toothless up. hiccup realizes its toothless' offspring that has survived the hidden world slaughter.
hiccup then takes the baby night light home, vowing to take care of the son of his best friend and get revenge on the bastard that killed everything hiccup fought so hard to protect for so many years.

no this is not going to happen. it was a random thought that popped into my head and i hate that i ever thought of this

ruff runner is my favorite night light. i hardly see any fanart of him. so i'm going to be drawing a lot more of him XD dart and pouncer as well but ruff runner is definitely my favorite.
