Very powerful piece & very well done. Someone has already commented on the hand hiding the face (which is hiding itself) which gives the sense that the shame is self-inflicted.
I see similar portraits in nude or semi-nude, emphasizing the naked soul to the point of being cliche. But I like here, the everyday dress. It gives us the feel of an ordinary, decent, well-groomed human being who really doesn't have anything to be ashamed about, at least to the observer, unless it be something beneath the surface.
Even so, the photo expresses more of self-infliction rooted in needless fear.

Thank you mate :3
You know I really try my best to express myself trough everything I do, either photography, or painting, writing and whatnot. And when I'm understood, when I'm heard, it's by far the best feeling one can experience. So it has been a very humbling experience.
And yes that's precisely the point you know, we aren't transparent, we can say that everything is alright and no one would suspect a thing, and sometimes there are things that eat us up from the inside, feelings that haunt us and we can't really deal with them nor we can ask others for help, because we feel ashamed and then we feel scared because we think it's hopeless, we think we don't have the strength to deal with it. But that's never true, we can deal with them, we can fight them, we just have to believe in ourselves or others in order to stop it, in order to stop feeling scared, to stop feeling ashamed.
And we all need to be aware of this,so that we can take care for eachother, if you ask someone if they are alright and they hesitate don't ignore it, ask them again. That's why it's important to try and see behond the "everyday dress" behond the "surface".
Once again thank you Roger, I really apreciated your comment .

This is a pretty intriguing concept, concept wise... I like how you've almost portrayed the shame through the way the hand covers the face, as if the person couldnโt bear facing the world because of their shame and all. It's also quite cool how you've used a sepia tone rather than a black and white one, as it feels as if you're making it more humane and softer, if you get what I mean?
I feel that you could have moved the camera higher, as it feels a bit too tight at the top there. The lighting is awesome, though, and I think it's great how certain things are more accentuated than others, as that adds further depth to the piece overall.
However, the left side is a bit distracting, so maybe a vignette would be better there. Or, you could even crop this into a square... that wouldn't be bad.

Ooh, very nice! I like the concept very much ^_^.
I'm not a professional photographer, not by a long shot, but I want to leave a longer comment anyway. I think this photo would benefit from being black and white; the sepia tone distracts the viewer from the true focus of the piece.
Also, make sure when using auto-timer to adjust the focus so you make most clear what you want the viewer to see. I have this problem, where I sometimes accidentally make everything on the same level without really thinking about what I want to convey. It's really hard to pull off and I'm working on it too. What I would do next time is adjust it so the hand is clear and the face is blurrier so that the eye is immediately drawn to it. Or you could go on Photoshop and blur the face if that's easier (:.
Overall I like it, especially the way your handwriting looks (:.
